July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers

Just returned packet 3 to the Embassy this morning. DS-160 was kind of a pain to complete but at least it's just the one form compared to the 3 or 4 we would have had to complete previously. Even though I'm not leaving till May 2014, I can't wait to get the interview over and done with. All this anxiety is giving me heartburn, lol.

How long does it take to get the Packet 4 from your Embassy?

Yeah, I found the DS-160 not as bad as the old forms I had pre-filled out, mainly because it didn't ask to go back so far in time for some details.

Hello july-filers just wanted to give an update! I went to my visa interview today and got approved after only 103 days! I don't think that it has really sunk in yet that the visa hunt IS really over for now...! I had been so nervous about the interview, but it wasn't necessary...I just want to let everybody know that if you just make sure to have the papers ready, there'll be nothing to worry about. And as for the embassy in Stockholm, people are really nice! Sending tons of good luck your way!

I don't think that it has really sunk in yet that the visa hunt IS really over for now...! I had been so nervous about the interview, but it wasn't necessary...I just want to let everybody know that if you just make sure to have the papers ready, there'll be nothing to worry about. And as for the embassy in Stockholm, people are really nice! Sending tons of good luck your way!

Just wondering, at what point do we hand in 1-134 Affidavit? Do I just take it to my interview? or do I mail it in? Im aways away as we just received out NOA1 but my fiancé is a little behind on taxes! and I just want to know when we will have to have the 1-134 completed. Also, what extras do we need to hand in with that form besides pay stubs & a letter from his employer?

I looked at some of the other filers from Singapore and it ranged from a week to two months between returning packet 3 and getting packet 4 - definitely gonna need those antacids haha. Is Australia any faster?

It's all quiet on the July filers front...I hope that means you have all gotten your packets 3/4 and are busy preparing for your interviews. Best of luck everyone!

Hey guys! Just giving an update! We finally got out interview scheduled for November 22nd! 13 days!!!! Of course it's all I can think about now. I keep worrying if something will go wrong. These will be the longest 13 days in the world!

Hi everybody,

I am kind of quiet because after receiving NOA2...nothing happened so far.

And apparently there wuill be a lot of changes obver the next weeks in the US-embassy in Frankfurt/Germany. So I just wait and see what's all about. Even the interview appointment has to be scheduled now online...

Oh, and i went to apply for my police record today too :-)

Hi guys! We filed on July also. We got approved October 15, October 18 our case was sent to NVC, October 25 our case was forwarded here in Hong Kong. I checked the online visa checker it says READY and that our case was updated November 1,2013.. What to expect next? I'm so anxious!
