I got my case number today from NVC. The guy was really nice and took down both our e-mail addresses and phone numbers and verified my mailing address. He told me to call back every day to check if it's been sent to the Embassy. Anyone know what to do with the invoice ID?

That is awsome!!!! :) I am happy for ya! Hope to get mycase number next week as well :)

Those at the London Embassy- has anyone received a packet 3 yet?

I tracked our things via DHL and it just arrived to London Embassy this Friday (signed by DANIEL apparently lol) so we're still waiting, my fiance has just requested his police certificate and I'm waiting for some tax transcripts, so I think we should be fine.. any more ideas? and good luck!

Ahhh I see. Ours arrived at the London Embassy on the 4th of October so I was expecting a packet 3 by now.

Once you have your LND# you can book your medical. You'll need the police certificate, payment and a passport photo (US or UK spec) for that. Then-

Send off to Embassy once ready:

DS160 (print off the barcode page only)

DS2001 (ONLY ONCE YOU HAVE ALL DOCS REQUIRED FOR INTERVIEW)

Cover later stating medical date, intended date of wedding and any preferred/unavailable dates for interview

Prepare to take to the interview:

I-134

two proofs of USC's income

copy of the DS160 barcode page

your passport

police certificate

two US spec passport photos

payment

Think that's everything. You can take evidence of relationship and a letter from each of you confirming your continued intent to marry if that makes you feel safer. If you've been divorced, have kids, criminal record etc then you'll need more evidence.

You are AMAZING, thank you so much! I feel so overwhelmed by all the information and it's hard to keep track of things on forums. I know the medical examination fee is £235 but where can I see what's the fee for the interview? Again, THANK YOU! xx

You're welcome :) the post-NOA2 process is REALLY confusing cos every country does it differently. This ends up with people giving info for one country and someone from another country reading it and taking it to heart. Lots of misunderstandings and mistakes! It took me ages to get my head around it.

The interview/visa fee is currently £155 I believe. That is payable online before the interview, the link will be in your packet 3 I think.

The medical is currently £235, if they give you vaccinations on the day they'll charge for those so the cost will be higher. You will need the following vaccinations to apply for AOS (after you marry in the US), easiest way is to do them with your GP in the UK before the medical as it's usually free that way. You'll need:

  1. Td or Tdap - or get DT, DTP or DtaP and it will be accepted for AOS also
  2. MMR (if born in 1957 or later) Get a second shot 4 wks later if you have time before your medical. It's two doses in your life, but if you get the first and 4 weeks haven't passed by your medical, they will waive the second dose for "insufficient time interval".
  3. Varicella Not routinely given in the UK ; a history of having chickenpox excuses you from the shot. They take your word for it at the visa medical exam.
  4. Influenza - During flu season only, October 1 through March 31.

You should also get a vaccination record from the GP proving you've had these vaccinations. Take this to the medical.

The AOS is currently £675, btw.

Awesome! Have you called NVC? I saw a few cases on VJ where NVC said that they received the case but hadn't generated a case number in the morning, then a few hours later, the case number was available.

Just out of curiousity (and an attempt to distract myself from the wait), what kind of wedding is everyone planning? How soon after your arrive/will friends and family be there?
