Hi, guys,

I filed in the end of July (July 26-petition date), got approved 62 days later and in 2 days received email that my case was shipped to NVC.

NVC received it and entered in the system pretty quickly (check my timeline for dates) and sent to the consulate in 2 days.

I was calling NVC and listened their on-hold message every day, but someone on this website advised me to call DoS phone number instead (202-485-7600) wait time is much shorter and they give you the same information. I received my case update from them.

Hang in there, guys. Your time will come too. Once your case is scanned by the NVC it will only takes few days before it is shipped to your embassy.

Congrats :) Unfortunately, majority of us waiting more than 30 days were processed by California Service Center who refuses to send our petitions immediately to NVC, hence the frustration. We are very happy for you though! :)

Hi, guys,

NVC received it and entered in the system pretty quickly (check my timeline for dates) and sent to the consulate in 2 days.

I called DOS to check my case and they were actually quite unhelpful. I had gotten my case number when I called them yesterday and then checked it online last night. It currently says "In-Transit --- Interview date has been provided" ... yet when I called DOS today to see what exactly that means, he told me that it was still at NVC being processed and before I could say anything else, he said to call NVC with any questions.

What kind of status do you have and were you able to get any info about it? I thought the embassy, not NVC set the interview date and would send that to the beneficiary?

Yes, you're right. DoS can only provide you with basic case status, without being on hold for 30-40 minutes. That was my point. Once you get your case number you can check the rest on line. Once your case is sent to the embassy, give it 5 business days, and if you don't receive any notification from your embassy, send them email. Keep in mind, this is all consulate specific. Some embassies don't send emails and send pocket 3 to the beneficiary. Moscow embassy sends out email to the petitioner with instructions.

Good luck to all of you.

Saw that. Still don't have September 4th cases or 3rd for that matter. LOL! But, I'm glad to see one was touched from September. I know there was an I130 from Septmeber also.

Sure.

Click on the "Immigration Timeline" tab above. Then click on the left middle of the page "K1 Stats". A grid like the Igor one comes up. Click on K1 VIsa under "Common Visas." drop down. Then you will want to enable advanced more on the right of the screen and then sort by "NVC Received" date.

Hope this helps!
