Haha - that was the quote of the week - 5 weeks for mail to go to NH from CA!

I just can't help but wonder what the heck they are doing holding those files for so long before sending them - it would only be conjecture on my part anyway.

At any rate, as long as this all works out - I'm just anxious since as the USC I now have a firm date to end my job in Australia and am negotiating a start date for a new job in the USA. After all, they expect me to have a job offer as proof of financial resources, but it makes it hard until I know when the heck we can get an interview date!

At least we are living together, and I can only imagine it must be tough for those of you having to live apart while waiting for this "quicker" pathway to be reunitied (sarcasm intended).

Oh yes the process would be easier together but I understand the anxiety all the same. Good luck and hopefully we hear soon!! :D

Yes

Here's the response we got last night:

Thank you for your inquiry. This email address is intended only for follow up on inquiries submitted through the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 or via TTY at 1-800-767-1833. All case related inquiries must be addressed to the NCSC first. A customer service representative should be able to assist you when you call the above toll-free number.

If representatives are unable to provide information regarding your case, they will create a service request for the appropriate USCIS office that has jurisdiction over your case to answer your questions and concerns. These referrals must be identified by "Referral ID's" assigned by NCSC.

The status of your case may be obtained online at www.uscis.gov.

So it seems unfortunately that this hasn't helped us.

Honestly I feel like we've fallen into a black hole at CSC. Now that they're processing petitions filed ~a month ago, it doesn't seem like we're going to get any news until we can follow up after 5 months.

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

I hope so too! I am hoping for 44 days. That is seeming to be more of the trend so possibly next Friday for us.

I spoke with a Tier 2 rep at CIS today and she couldn't understand why I was frustrated. She said our case was adjudicated in 37 days and there are people still waiting from May. I told her I felt bad for those people but this has nothing to do with being approved. It has to do with shipping a package from one point to another. She said if after 45 days NVC has not received our case to call back and push through a follow up on the referral that was created.

For now the weekend is here and we can all relax for a couple days while NVC and CIS regroup. LOL! :D

J spoke with a Tier 2 rep today who said our petition was sent to NVC yesterday (Thursday) which makes it exactly 30 days since NOA2. Does this mean it's actually going to be reaching NVC soon or is it going to take another 2-3 weeks for NVC to log it in their system? Trying not to get my hopes up :P

Yay im so happy just before going to bed I decided to check my status for I haven't been checking. Just got tired of checking and seeing the blue dot never changing. While talking on the phone with my fiance whining and complaing how so many people that file way after was approved and we were still waiting and how I been feeling sad and depressed lately I received a text only to see that our case has been updated and to find out that our I 129F has been APPROVED!!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!!

We spoke to USCIS or rather the NCSC: 1 (800) 375-5283

They told us we could call NVC next week to check if the file has been received...but...I'm just paranoid now I guess. :\

Fingers crossed we all get our case numbers soon!

Congratulations on your approval, you're halfway there now. :) Now TSC ships your file to the NVC and the NVC will forward it on to the embassy. In the meantime, you can gather the documents needed for the embassy stage like the I-134, etc. In a week or two, you can start calling the NVC for your case number. :)
