Just so you don't drive yourself crazy....You will not receive a notification as rhirhi said. CSC filers have not been receiving updates when cases are shipped to the NVC. And the waiting time right now has been about 6 weeks to get a case number. There are threads in the forums specific to CSC to NVC delays. You can also pull the stats yourself in the Immigration Timelines tab. I hope for all of us it speeds up but the folks who received NOA2 in the week of 8/19-8/23 are who is getting receipt notices.

Still no update on your case? Your case is my go signal to keep calling nvc because your noa2 is ahead of my noa2 for few days... keep posting pls... thank you... =)

Still no word. 5 weeks today and nothing yet at NVC. Timelines are pointing more towards 41-47 days now so I will check this Friday (37 days) and then again next week.

We have called and emailed everyone you could possibly think to talk to. No striaghtforward answer and the Ombudsman is closed due to the shutdown, so no help there.

Just patiently waiting!

Just got an email yesterday with my case number and can now check it CEAC. USCIS NOA2 was Sept 20. I was with TSC.

Case created 1 OCT 2013

Status Updated 6 OCT 2013

Great news! There is a twist. The case went to Doha embassy where see was working but her boss sent her home to the Philippines on 29 Sept 2013. So working on getting this changed to the Manila embassy. Fingers crossed getting close!

Called the NVC yesterday to get our casenumber. Status online is 'ready' and they told us over the phone that the stautus would be switched to 'in transit' soon! Case created: October 4th. Also, I had my medical done today which was painless. A piece of advice for Danish applicants, you can set up your medical examination as soon as you have the NOA2 in hand! :)

TSC and VSC petitioners have been sent to NVC in under one month. CSC is almost 6 weeks and beyond.

We have been waiting 5 weeks and NOTHING yet. We are patient because we received our NOA2 in 37 days. If we all would've filed last year we would still be waiting for our NOA2s. I know that waiting for something as simple as being shipped to New Hampshire should be easy but obviously for CSC it's not.

Cool - email sent on Friday so we'll see what happens.

Well it's been almost a week (it's Thursday here in New Zealand) and nothing, so I feel like maybe that one didn't work.

I'm so confused.

It's a weird feeling: I'm not upset or angry about other people receiving NOA2s and moving ahead with theirs, as everyone else is on this difficult journey too - but I just don't understand. I don't understand how cases filed almost 2 months after us are already approved while ours hasn't even been picked up since July.

I know we're still within the 5 months stated processing time but it's little comfort when you factor in human emotion and watching other people get processed and approved after 1 month. We've already had to endure being unable to even file for a visa due to DOMA, and the waiting feels like little more than an extension to that!

Sorry for the rant - I desperately needed to get that one out!

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

Did you try emailing csc? Coz they said you can email them if it's already 30 days and still no update on the case... i read that from some post in some forum... so that you can make sure that your case is not lost and they can tell you where your case is seating...

I emailed CSC and they said if you have not entered a formal complaint with a Tier 2 official they cannot do anything via email. I did not want to have a call back from CSC since the trend has been six weeks.

I emailed the ombudsman liason also and due to the shutdown their offices are closed. They will help after 30 days and oversee complaints with regards to USCIS. I have also emailed my senator and not heard back (surprise, surprise)!

I basically check the Immigration Timelines here everyday and am hearing that people are being approved from the last week of August though no one on Visa Journey has posted such yet. This is from other groups on FB.

Other than that Tichi has everything he needs to get the ball rolling when it makes it to Germany. I will keep you posted though! :D

Isn't it just crazy?! I swear, I would head to California and pick up my case and hand deliver it to NVC if that was possible rather than this waiting game. Blah! Oh well, like you said, fast approval fortunately. We were approved in 51 days (much faster than I had imagined when I initially filed). Just praying a miracle happens and he's here by the end of the year. Hoping you receive great news soon! I'll send many good vibes your way for a case # THIS WEEK!!! kicking.gif

Thank you! I wrote that to the ombudsman and our senator. I said that I feared the package was lost because I did not realize it took five weeks for mail to go from California to New Hampshire. LOL!

I am pretty sure it is not and I hope that we possibly have a case number on the 37th day as that would make our NOA2 37 days and the NVC receipt 37 days. Wishful thinking though!

Here's hoping all of us hear soon and get things moving so we can be with our loved ones soon!!!! :D

Haha - that was the quote of the week - 5 weeks for mail to go to NH from CA!

I just can't help but wonder what the heck they are doing holding those files for so long before sending them - it would only be conjecture on my part anyway.

At any rate, as long as this all works out - I'm just anxious since as the USC I now have a firm date to end my job in Australia and am negotiating a start date for a new job in the USA. After all, they expect me to have a job offer as proof of financial resources, but it makes it hard until I know when the heck we can get an interview date!

At least we are living together, and I can only imagine it must be tough for those of you having to live apart while waiting for this "quicker" pathway to be reunitied (sarcasm intended).

Hang in there - it's really tough (I know, I've been there) but it will feel so good once you get that approval. Just a question - are you with CSC, TSC, or VSC? From what I've seen, California and Texas are moving through, but I haven't seen much from Vermont, though I could be wrong.

Good luck! You've made it through DOMA, which was more than half the battle.

Thanks - it's always nice to be able to come here and talk to people who know what this process is like!

We're at CSC, so they're now approving petitions with NOA1 dates almost 2 months after ours.

I just don't get the logic behind which cases get pulled out next, and why some sit there with no change. Is it that they initiate background checks on a whole box of petitions at a time and don't process any from the box until they're all done? Or is it something else?

It was weeks back that batches of petitions around our dates were being approved so I can't work out if it's even likely now that it will come without us having to wait 5 months before opening an enquiry.

Just to help people out with timings between noa2 and receiving it at the NVC... I was approved 22nd of August (California service center) and my file arrived at the NVC on the 8th of October. So it took 2 days short of 7 weeks. Around the 4/5 week mark I was a little panicky, it's hard but hang in there that extra couple weeks!
