Good luck getting anything useful out of the NVC... I spent thirteen minutes on hold on Monday to talk to someone who had no idea if my case was even there (despite the fact that I had a case number) only to see my status change yesterday on the ceac tracker to "In Transit" to consulate.

Not the kind of stressful call you need!

Call DOS and first as they are a bit nicer. I would give it some time though. We are a week out from receiving our NOA2 and nothing has been received yet.

Sooooooooo happy to be reading all of this great news on recent approvals!! I mailed our RFE back on Monday, it was delivered to CSC's P.O. box yesterday afternoon and unbelievably, at 11:45pm last night i received a text from USCIS stating that they were already REVIEWING THE RFE RESPONSE!!!!! I didn't expect anything for at least a week or so! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif Absolutely thrilled and hopeful!

Again, CONGRATS TO EVERYONE with NOA2 approvals so far!! YAY!!! Can't wait to join the approval party soon ;-)

I have a question guys.. so like.. I know the usual timeframe before NOA2 is 5 months according to the USCIS website right? And I've only been waiting 2 months. But considering the sudden surge in approvals, do you think it would be out of line if I have my fiance call them to ask for the status of our petition? Would this possibly annoy them and make us wait longer? Also, I'm curious if they would actually be able to tell us details like if the case is assigned to an actual person already XD Thanks in advance to responses!

Just received text and email informing us they have approved our case, so NOA2 received 72 days following NOA1. Like everyone else, I didnt expect this till maybe October or November. We were in the Aug. 9 batch of transfers from VSC to TSC. Just checked the USCIS website and the cases around ours... at this point they all still show the same status they have for weeks... "initial review". This seems as random as a lightning strike! Now on to the next stage!

We should be able to send our RFE back tomorrow! My fiance has been out of state so not home to get the letter, but we have it now and it's just a box that we missed off! Hopefully we'll be sorted next week and back on track!
