Awh, I was hoping to have a heap more approvals in this thread this week. Maybe it was just one box from July that got worked on?

I'm almost positive that the 15 day August filer is an expedite. But they are definitely teasing the July filers bcuz they did so many VJ'rs then almost full stop. Being a mid July filer I was mentally preparing myself for hopefully late September early October then with all the approvals last week I can't stop checking email or the USCIS website. But I haven't lost hope! July filers I'm predicting at minimum 10 more of us before Thursday bcuz Monday is a holiday so even if the USCIS workers don't take Friday off to have a 4 day weekend, they may mentally be getting ready for their 3 day weekend & not be very productive Friday. I can only pray ours gets approved this week. But even if it's not ours I need to see some of us updating their timelines! Good luck to us ALL! Have a happy Wednesday!

Hey all!

I couldn't believe it but I received my approval notice from VSC on Aug 13th and a paper NOA2 a few days later. I was waiting on posting until I was sure it wasn't a fluke (there were a few posts of recieving a digital NOA2 notice in error.) I called the NVC today and received my case number and my petition is in route to the consulate. Now I'm sure it wasn't a fluke. Hang in there everyone. It looks like they're picking up the pace on K-1 applications across the board. For the folks that just received their NOA2s I had shorter waits and friendlier service using the number below.

Call DOS public inquiries division on this number 2026-631-225 press 1 then press 0.

You will hear an announcement that they are switching to this number 202-485-7600 on September 6th. When they answer be sure to mention that all you're looking for is a case number for a recently transferred K1 Petition. They can't give you much info on specifics of the case but they will give you the case number if it has one.

Best of luck to everyone! I hope everyone gets their NOA2s quickly!

I stand corrected. They say it was not an expedite. That makes it more obvious that there is no rhyme or reason to this. I was even checking the numbers around my receipt number & those don't even make sense. How does someone 200+ numbers before mine have a NOA

Approved!

I just received a text from USCIS. My application is approved!!

I filed my K1 on July 8, 2013. They Transfered my applcation to Texas service center on August 6, 2013. I got approved on August 28, 2013.

Woo, Texas service center really works so fast....

Good luck to all the July filers!!!

However, i didn't feel happy at all. I've been 5 years long distance relationship with my fiance. while we were waiting for the K1 approval, we just want to broke up... Don't know what to do. whether i should just call to cancel my application, or should i just wait to see if .........

Life sucks.... Love sucks....

Firstly, congratulations on your approval! :)

With regard to the impending break up, I personally think you should wait and see - 5 years is a long time to have been together. Perhaps this approval will help mend things. Good luck!

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Well if it was up to me we all can have cake! Lol. I'm bummed too. I want our approval email! But wanting really badly doesn't seem to be their driving force at the USCIS hahaha I think they just shuffle the files up in whatever manner they are kept & then randomly pick some.
