July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers

I'm torn between hoping that we'll get our approvals within the next month or so (our NOA1 is late july), and wishing for more time as well. J is currently working in Colorado, and his apartment lease is up May 2014. We were hoping he could move back to Seattle after his lease is up, find a place, settle down, etc before I arrive. If my math is right, that would mean I should have my medical done no earlier than December (right?) These speedy approvals are making me nervous!

They've been making me nervous too, but after a little research I found out that the time limits (4 months after NOA2 until interview and 6 months from medical to POE) aren't so strict. The 6 months one is absolute as far as I can see, but you can extend the 4 month one by coming to the interview armed with a notarized letter from the USC stating their continued intentions to marry you. That MIGHT just be the case for London but that's one way around it.

I'm happy for those approved!!!! I haven't even started working on the next step yet. Frankly, I'm not even sure what to do yet. :P

HI everyone! I also wanted to introduce myself. I am a late July filer as well

I sent the I-129f on July 25th and got our NOA1 on July 26th. My case is being handled by the TSC.

No other actions so far.

Good luck to us all and Congrats to those who already got their NOA2!!!

Hi Monique,

I found this post on packet 3 for Jamaica: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/307713-jamaica-packet-3/

There should be more current information on the medical appointment, interview, etc for Jamaica at the Carribean forum here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/153-caribbean/ smile.png

Thank you! This is very helpful.

Wow, that's a lot of July approvals this week. I think the number may be higher than 19 cos I saw a few posting in the forum that haven't updated their timelines. Exciting times hehe.

We're expecting an RFE cos I provided copies of the entry stamps in my passport but forgot to make copies of the rest of the pages in my passport (including the page with my personal details and photo, duhhh!). I also managed to fish out my boarding pass so I'll be mailing copies of that and the passport pages to J this week, just in case. I hope they aren't just blazing through the easy approvals. :( I haven't seen any July cases that have received RFEs...

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, and will be getting my vaccinations done this week at my local clinic - it'll be cheaper than getting them done at the designated clinic when the time comes so it all works out. J and I are also finally looking at putting together the documentation for the I-134. Anyone else making post-NOA2 plans?

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Oh no, I've done the same thing with the passport :( are you the beneficiary too? I only sent in copies of the pages with stamps as I thought it was the USC who had to send in a copy of their whole passport (and then only if they don't have a birth certificate).

RFE for me then I guess :(
