Even though we got our oath letter at the interview, our online status has not changed. Also, this may be a new procedure, I saw a post here on VJ about another member getting an Oath appointment at the interview yesterday.... it was California.

Congratulations! It's really crazy sometimes different IO makes a difference in applicants.

Olehandro, perhaps they are mailing you the oath letter now but the online case just does not get updated. idea9dv.gif

Interview date is 12/4, thought I updated this 2 weeks ago when we got the letter.... Hoping they do the oath the same day, early interview time..... Time will tell... We re hoping to travel to Thailand for the holidays and would rather get the USA passport before we depart....

Oath Ceremony for Nov 22!!!! Yeiiiiii . I have one question my daughter do no need a application right , in order to get her passport i do i need?

You Must Apply in Person If:
  • You are applying for your first U.S. passport
  • You are under age 16
  • Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under age 16
  • Your previous U.S. passport was lost, stolen, or damaged
  • Your previous U.S. passport was issued more than 15 years ago

Oath taken on 10/28/2013. The process is completed. Waiting on passport which we should have in a week or two. Visa Journey was a great resource and highly recommended. Thanks for all the help.

Thank you Jamericanlove!!! It was a great day!!!

Right after the oath ceremony, I went to the passport office and applied for my passport since we are travelling in December. It's so nice to have this process over with but it hasn't really sunk in yet! I think it will the first time I give the Customs Officer my U.S. Passport :-)

Looks like when you call the USCIS, they are not consistent to what they tell you. I got a yellow notice a month ago saying it was a Pre-Interview Notice telling me that I need to bring all my passports (old and current) and my state ID. I know some applicants who are in the same boat as me got the same yelloy paper but do you guys heard from USCIS since? And by the way, I haven't receive any biometrics schedule. After my Notice of Receipt, the next notice I got from them was the yellow paper. I am thinking of abandoning my application since some applicants from Hawaii were already got their new citizenship and to think that they applied days (if not weeks) after I applied. i am still under the 5 months average time of their processing but I am getting frustrated.
