Hey guys. How long did it take your NOA to hit your mailbox after your check was chased and you got your email notification? My check was cashed on Monday and I even got an e-notification that my biometrics appointment letter was mailed out today but still no NOA.

07-03-2013: Eligible to file
07-22-2013: Application sent (Delivered: 07-24-13)
08-05-2013: NOA1 received (Priority date: 07-24-13, Check cashed: 07-29-13)
08-22-2013: Biometrics (Received: 08-06-13, Walk-in: 08-08-13)
09-03-2013: Inline for interview (Yellow letter received: 10-23-13)
11-04-2013: Interview scheduled (Received: 11-09-13)
12-12-2013: Interview (Approved)
01-03-2014: Oath ceremony, passport application and passport received

I just checked online today and found this:

On August 2, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 90 days of the date above, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

So August 2 is my inline date?

Still waiting on our biometrics letter. I thought for sure we'd see something this week but perhaps next week? The USCIS website doesn't give any updates either on our case so not sure what's up. Initial Review
On July 12, 2013, we received this N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION and request that the filing fee be waived. The filing fee has been waived and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. This case is being processed at our Intake Processing Center. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.
If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

Still waiting on our biometrics letter. I thought for sure we'd see something this week but perhaps next week? The USCIS website doesn't give any updates either on our case so not sure what's up. I got an update 2 days ago that they mailed out my biometrics letter (still haven't received my NOA receipt though). I think it depends on your local office and how fast or slow they process those. I think you'll be getting yours soon. Hang in there.

Thank you for the response Jamericanlove. I'm worried because all the people around my time have had or will have next week their biometrics appoints. True none of them are going through the Portland servicing center like we are so maybe that is why they're faster than us. Though I really hope we didn't miss the letter and thus miss the appointment. If the 30 days passes this week with no letter about biometrics then who should I call? Should we just do a walk in appointment without the letter?

If 30 days passes with no biometrics letter a I'd call and make an inquiry.
