Azure, I'm not sure what your fixing, cause it always looks the same to me?? :-)

Thanks for doing it though in case it looks weird to others!! :-)

The things I've been fixing can be seen when you would go to update the timeline. Like you said, it's not seen when you are scrolling through and reading through the forum.

It's still 100% unclear as to what exactly causes these annoying changes, but from my experience, I know that trying to update your timeline from a smartphone or a tablet such as an Ipad totally throws the entire timeline out of order, it changes the font and nothing is lined up.

Another thing that can affect it is, if you are trying to add another friend's info to the timeline that they posted in the forum, and you do so by copying and pasting. That will definitely mess it up and creates all kind of mumbo jumbo jargon, as you're not only copying and pasting their info, but you're copying and pasting their font styles and size of their letters, etc..

I hope I've explained it well...Thank you so much Happily Content for helping me out here!! We're all in this journey together...trying to help a brother/sister out!

I'm still confused, when editing a new entry, there's multiquote and quote, I used quote to edit the timeline.... how are you getting rid of the gray shaded box? Thanks

No problem! I agree, I think people are copying and pasting text which is messing it up. I know because I was doing it too in the June thread at the beginning lol Everyone has to manually put the info in the timeline.

At the top left of the text editor there is a gray light switch, click it. Then you edit the info, and scroll down the the very bottom of the timeline and remove the "/quote" THEN press preview to see what it looks like, and if everything looks good you can submit.

I received today my BIO - for July 30th - Yayyy!!! Updating!

Now what to expect after this?

*You go to your bio appt. You can try to do a walk-in. Some offices allow it, others don't. Not sure if it speeds up your process or not.

*Wait for your Inline Date, and start studying your 100 questions for the civics test. (USCIS will give you a free booklet to study when you go for your biometrics. There is also a free app for android smart phones and it costs 1.99 for iphone users. It's called US Citizenship Test 2013 Edition by Purple Buttons.)

*Prepare your paperwork that you'll be taking with you to interview. They might send you a document in the mail instructing you what to bring with you to the interview. They usually request 2 additional photos ( I think this is incase they've misplaced the one you submitted with your application)

What In Line and Int Ltr means?

*Inline Means the date that they place you inline with other applicants for interview appointment scheduling at your local office. Your case will be updated with this information and you will be notified by email and/or text if you've signed up on uscis website to receive them. IntLtr is the date your interview letter was WRITTEN.

Which one is the test?

*The citizenship test occurs at the interview. You will also provide us with your interview date to add to the timeline.

What to expect at the interview?

*You can read through the March filers, April Filers and other months for the interview reviews ....Interview is usually quick and easy process. March Should be having quite a few reviews being posted on there, as well as my month, April.

Is my hubby required to go with me? Definitely not a requirement because you alone will be interviewed, but it would be good for your moral support and it 'looks good' that you're there together, since it's such a big deal. I've read of cases where the IO asks the applicant if their spouse is with them, and if IO doesn't see them sitting with them, they've asked where they're at, but every IO is different, every state is different.

Yup!! That's exactly right!! The quote tag at the bottom looks like Happily content said. Remove . It's at the very end of the last line of the instructions.

And remember to select More reply options and/or preview button before posting. It always will show you if the grey box is around your timeline.

I'm still confused, when editing a new entry, there's multiquote and quote, I used quote to edit the timeline.... how are you getting rid of the gray shaded box? Thanks

With regards to this, I use multiquote if I want to select both the last timelime as well as the post another filer submitted with their information, so that the viewers can see what I'm updating in the timeline, rather than me having to manually write what I'm updating.

I would select the poster's information first by selecting multiquote, then scroll to the latest timeline and select multiquote again and then select REPLY to 2 quotes.

I know exactly what you meant. It took me a while to figure it out. I'll sit back and see if you can get Olehandro's edit done using the multiquote If you have any questions, you can private message me.

blush.png oops, sorry I already did the update. But hopefully kabhatti understands how to update now. I personally try to avoid using the multiquote button because some people don't know how to remove all the irrelevant text I replied with and it gets attached to the timeline when they update.

Good luck, and let me know if you had to pull your hair back away from your face so that your ears were exposed, and if you smiled.. just curious because I had styled my hair before my appointment, it was down, and when I got to my bio I was told to tie it back. ranting33va.gif

It was all super fast and easy, no they didn't make me pull my hair back or told me not to smile. My App was at 12 and I left early cause they moved and I wanted to make sure to know where the new location was, got there at 11:27am and the security guard told me to come back at 11:30am (he had an attitude... whatever) once I waited my 3 minutes outside (in a lovely 110 degree weather in Las Vegas) went back in and got done with the whole thing by 11:45am, they also gave me a booklet with all the civic questions for the test and a CD.

Other than that everything else was fine!
