I would love to work for an immigration lawyer, with the knowledge I have now about this process it'd be just a breeze....

Something tells me it wouldn't be quite that easy.... B)

Ok, so not a breeze...

But easier than if you had to learn from zero...

the other part, that might be harder to deal with (and I dont think it'd be her case) is actually handling the customers, with the stress we suffer when we go thru this process, that wouldnt be a breeze at all...

I think if I didn't have any knowledge of this process I'd have no idea what she was talking about half the time! I think it was a pretty good match to my qualifications :)

How long are you working there for Nina?

Not really sure yet, she's looking for a permanent assistant. She's aware that I have other jobs in the pipeline and that I don't really want to stay there (it's just me and her, I want somewhere with a bit more atmosphere...), so she's looking at people's resumes.

I'm guessing I'll be there for a few weeks! Was getting some people's documents ready for their AOS interview today, should know what I'm doing when it gets to mine!!

How long are you working there for Nina?

Would be perfect for you then! I, on the other hand, am a Physics major... Not very useful in a law office!

I would be lazy, phone them up and give them VJ addy!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
