We've gotten past that roadblock, but now stuck at the part where she actually submits the payment. Not sure if there's something wrong with her card, but she's calling the card people today to find out.

If she has to go to CITIC to submit payment, then she'll probably go ahead and attempt to submit the P3 stuff there as well. Some of the other K-1 girls told her she's being given false information by the CITIC phone reps, so hopefully the branch employees are familiar with this process.

She chose Shenzhen as her pick-up location, and I think she says it's about 170 RMB to take the bus there, so saving the extra 50 RMB just goes out the window sad.png Hopefully, she won't need to go there more than twice.

Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread haha

Wow, glad I was sent a link to this post, she was just about to make the trip to the bank today to deliver documents and pay for visa. I just told her to send it EMS and to wait for P4 for paying for visa.

At this point, we don't know if EMS or CITIC is the better option. It seems as though the latest P3 instructions all say to submit to CITIC, so maybe they really mean what they say.

I'd say, if CITIC is not so far from her, have your fiancee go ahead and do what she planned to do already. A couple of people on here said you don't need to wait for P4 before paying the visa fee, so maybe she can pay when she drops the P3 stuff off.

Pay the visa fee ASAP! You need that to book the interview!

No, you don't, you should do it right away, because it may save time in getting the interview booked.

If you can submit the P3 through CITIC, then go for it, but if not, Then probably the Shamein address.

Although we didn't send our P3 through CITIC bank (we posted it), my fiancee has been talking to other K-1 girls on QQ and they basically said that, IF CITIC bank is saying they won't send the P3 documents OR they can't do it.... then you must do the childish Chinese girl method of kicking and screaming and make the employees lose face telling them they are ignorant fools etc... I guess this has worked for some other girls because eventually the CITIC bank workers will make some calls, talk to upper management and find out that they CAN send the P3 documents.

This is what I was told...its definitely not something I have done. Just passing along the info.......good luck!!

My fiancee was worried so she did ask the bank if they take the documents and the bank worker said no, they no longer do, to mail them and pay for visa at the bank.

Even with the Document Submission Letter and Guangzhou Cover Letter that came with the P3, they still won't accept the documents?

I got a reply from Guangzhou this morning to my asking how to overcome the CITIC document refusal, but it was just to tell me to ask them the question again using an e-mail address on file haha. I was writing on behalf of my fiancee, and I completely forgot that they don't have her e-mail address yet, so they said to ask the question again as the petitioner. We still have time. My fiancee wouldn't be able to go to CITIC until next week anyway, so we're just going to chill.

Well, she paid at the bank today, I logged in to website and the receipt number was already there. Of course there are no appointments. :(

She also sent the P3 to the embassy so will update you on how that goes.

that's just shameful, for the CITIC crew,

as

that Document Submission Letter contains instructions for the CITIC clerk on what to do.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
