Hello Everyone. I just have a quick question...

My husband (in the UK) has had a recent address change. The USCIS has his previous address on the I130 & I129F forms. We realize that the Embassy will be sending his packets through mail, therefore we would like to go through the correct process of changing his address, so that he will be sure to receive the VERY IMPORTANT packets once our case has arrived at the American Embassy (UK). He has had all of his mail forwarded to the new address, through his local Post Office, but we are just concerned that the Embassy WILL NOT allow mail to be forwarded!!! So... What form do we need to fill out and send to the USCIS... or Embassy about his address change.

We were wonering if it would be easier, and not hold things up IF we waited until we knew that the Embassy had received our case, and then contact THEM with the address change!!!?!?!?!

Any answers and/or advise will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks in advance for your help... and LOTS OF LUCK TO EVERYONE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!

I beleive that most people in this circumstance either contact the NVC or the Embassy, rather than attempting to contact USCIS. It actually might be more likely that there would be an issue with not getting mail if you update at this point, since USCIS seems to have a hard time doing it. Maybe someone else will have specific instructions :)

once your petition is approved and at NVC, you can try to contact them to get your file number before it gets to the consulate, then email the consulate to notify them of the address change. Or try to contact the consulate after they've received your petitions and let them know of the address change.
