Hi friends @ VJ's,

Finally the wife and my 3 teenagers got their visas from 2GO after their F2A interview. I am from the east coast and planning to see the family in LAX airport to visit Disneyland, Universal and Hollywood landmarks before we all fly together to Massachusetts. Also, the family wants to see some relatives based in Los Angeles, CA. Planning to stay for 4 days in LA then go home to our house in Massachusetts. My question is:

1. Could that be an issue to the immigration officer at point of entry if they found out that my family will not go straight to our house in east coast?

My wife will provide all the connecting flights to east coast, plus the hotel reservations in Los Angeles to prove that they will eventually going to my house in a later date.

I like to take the chance while they are coming from Philippines, make a visit now to Disneyland in LA than scheduling it again on different time. It will save me time and travel money if we are all coming from the east coast. Plus, they are just as excited as me to see the places in LA.

Just for the record, I appreciate and learn a lot of pointers here at VJ. Thanks Kababayan!

That will not be a problem. As long as they do not open the "do not open" envelope and proceed to the officers and follow instructions all they have to say is the truth if they are asked why they do not have a connecting flight to Boston just to tell the person interviewing them that you are meeting them at the airport so you guys can enjoy a planned family vacation. Thats all. And relax its not scary going through POE :)

Once you wife and kids clear POE no one at USCIS cares where they go (within) the USA... no different than they care where you go. There is not a requirement to go home from POE... no one will ask about connecting flights or (as said) even care.

Enjoy!

Have fun!
