Wow! You were faster than us at USCIS.... at the rate my checklists are going, though, you'll beat us to the CC! LOL good luck to both of us!

Yea when we got the text message I honestly thought there was some kind of mistake! We did make the mistake of believing that the same thing would happen here so my husband gave his 2 months notice at work and it's going to be 3 months since then! Oh well, the longer the wait the more the love will grow, right? Lol

Wow - July is winding down. Seemed such a long month, even with a holiday thrown in, almost 5 full weeks of pain and suffering.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Just saw something about sending in DS2001 with immigrant visa application(DS-230) is this correct?

No. The DS-2001 is for K1 applicants and/or DCF cases. For regular IR-1/CR-1 applicants going through NVC, the DS-2001 isn't needed in the IV package.

Thankfully no checklists! Case Complete dancin5hr.gif

I called this morning and was told my case is complete and I am in interview queue, thanks everyone for all the useful information specially saylin for all the links. Few questions:

1. Is a september interview for my wife very likely? or it could be october?

2. Do we have to wait for some notification before getting medical done or we should just get it done now?

3. I am confused if I should go with my wife to the interview or not? is that even allowed? would it help? If it would help in any way I would definitely go but if it doesn't make a difference I would rather go when she has her visa and come back together.

4. which thread do I head to next? goofy.gif

1. It's possible, but it depends on the time frames for Pakistan. Time for you to do your research ;)

2. Most places don't allow advance medicals, so yes, you'll need to wait for the interview letter before the medical can be done as they need the interview letter.

3. Is it allowed, yes. Would it help? Most definitely, specifically cause you're going through a MENA country. It's good proof of the relationship, showing your commitment.

4. Click on the second to last link in my signature, then scroll to the bottom. There's a link to a September interview thread. Join it, so you can see when others are getting their interview dates assigned.
