I advise people who are still waiting for their packet/s to be reviewed to study signatures/timelines of people who just recently had their packet/s reviewed or got case complete. That's what I did to get an estimate on when mine will be reviewed. For my 2 months in NVC, it has been taking them about 3 weeks (this is including weekends) from when they receive the packet til they review it. Check my signature below. (My case is not EP so my timeline might be different from those who are EP.) Good luck and hope to see you guys in the interview thread! smile.png

Just an update for those concerned about experiencing the following.

Logging in today at ceac.state.gov/IV, I got this message:

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Expecting the case complete email any hour now!

The payment portal at ceac.state.gov/CTRAC still lets me log in regularly and see my payments.

And the Visa Status Check site ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker still says the case is at NVC.

I am not exactly sure. They are all similar, and I just found over the months people using all 3 links, so I checked all 3.

Here you can find links to all 3 https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/, and what they put as description for each:

You will need to complete DS-260 if you intend to travel to the United States to live permanently. Please note that you will need unique log-in information that has been assigned by the Department to access this application

Consular Fees & Invoices

The Immigrant Visa (IV) Application Status allows you to check the status of your completed immigrant visa application.

I think 2nd link is a subset of 1st. First one gives you status plus has a link to the payment portal. The 3rd just tells you where the file currently is, i.e. "At NVC"

Has anyone dealt with a situation where marriage and divorce certificate were not available, neither original nor copies? I am applying for my mom and she does not have anything from her first marriage to my dad (40 yrs ago) which was held in a church; at the time church marriage and divorce was not recognized. Would a letter explaining this situation be advisable? ANy other options/ideas as to what to do about this lack of documents?

I haven't chimed in on here in awhile. But I got an update today so I'll share.

I spoke to NVC just now and they said both our AOS and IV packets are under review. Up until late last week all they could tell me was that the packets had been received.

I don't know if that means they just started reviewing everything on Friday or today, but now that they're saying everything is under review could there be a case complete soon?

Patience... it's almost done. Relax and enjoy the work you've done to accomplish what you have. Prepare for the interview. You're almost done.
