Hi Saylin,

I think you are right. Is there anyway we can get PCC ahead of time from Passport Office in India? Without waiting for RFE from NVC and show passport office a documents that can be accepted by them?

Thanks!

You can try printing out the requirement's at NVC's website about the PCCs. But I don't think that's what the office wants. Worth a shot though *shrug*

I got a case complete last July 19. do we recieved notification that our case is complete or an email interview schedule notification instead on nvc next email

Case complete emails from non-EP folk are a hit and miss, although getting more and more common each day. It's only been 3 business days from your CC, sit tight as it typically takes a week to receive. But if you've gotten confirmation of the CC from an operator, then there's no reason to wait on the email.

As for the interview, yes you'll receive an email. Once an interview date is assigned. And those time frames vary by country.

I was right TODAY is the day! Finally, CASE COMPLETE! woot woot! biggrin.png

Woohoo, congrats!!

It took us around 20 calendar days but it looks like they are reviewing it faster lately. Realistically I would say another 2-3 weeks for you based on the July 23rd receipt date.

Hello, I’m new at this and been reading all your post for months now. My file is at NVC now and so far we have gotten 2 checklists on AOS my IV has been accepted already. I have a question is a concern. My income was lower last year all the other years is above the poverty guidelines but for 2012 it was below with like $1,633 In December I was promoted to another position within the same department so my salary is more now. In my letter of employment we put down my new salary and I work for the state and been working for 10 years with the state. On my employment letter it has the state directors names and also the governors name on the letter stating I’m currently working for the state and been here for 10yrs and my new salary. I called NVC on Tuesday and talked to Gus I explained to him that last week on July 19 I got an email stating this, “The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference to the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. In order to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit of Support for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National Visa Center to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants”.

I then informed Gus I send in a letter of employment with my original AOS package and on their it states my new salary and if they would consider my new salary, he said yes.

So my question to you all, is have you all know or seen this happening at a US consulate where the officer who conducts the interview accepts the new salary and allows for visa to be granted? We really don’t have a joint sponsor all our family members have many dependents and don’t meet the poverty guidelines either to sponsor us since we are a family of 3 our other option could be wait till I file my taxes till next year so I could be over the poverty guidelines. But I don’t want to wait that much longer I want my hubby here is been way too long already and we have a daughter that needs him in her life and he is missing a lot in her life too. My husband is in Mexico and I am here in the US.

Thank you for all your feed backs in all this it helps a lot.

Each country and CO is different on the level they accept for salary, including whether they consider just the current year, the most recent tax year, the last 3 years, or some combination. Really, you'll just have to wait and see what happens at the interview. I'd suggest sending your husband as many pay stubs with your new income level as possible to bring to the interview to hand over if there's any issues. Good luck.

Yeah that’s what I have in mind for him to take my pay stubs since December to his interview. Hopefully everything goes well and this is not a big factor during his interview and he could come home soon with his family. Thank you! Saylin.
