Well my day went like this call NVC early and the lady said your case is complete and you are now waiting on an interview date.

Call back on Monday or wait for your email notice.

I said ok thank you and the call ended.

Two hours later and I got two emails from USCIS one saying my case is at USCIS and in AP.

the other said my case was being updated to go and check the website for information.

I then call NVC and the lady said they still have the case and to ignore anything from USCIS and to protect my email address.

Then she stops and says we have an interview date for you. I said what? she said you have just been given an interview date

just one hour ago. She said your interview date is September 10th. I was so speechless. I said thank you and hung up the phone,

Then it hit me and I was yelling and screaming. omg I was so happy...

What a way to find out... BUT we have an interview date and that is what matters.

Okay seriously...what is going on with India. I have started looking into this a little closer and I just cannot understand why there were so many Interviews rescheduled. Also a majority of Interviews appear to be of the F4 category. I cant see any interviews for CR1 between July 12th and July 28th (see below).

What the...I live in Mumbai and all I have to say is that the Monsoon has not been that bad! . I read somewhere that rains were given as the official reason. John Kerry and Joe Biden were here on a visit in June and July. I bet it must have something to do with this. Absurd and very very frustrating

yeah, I'm happy for the achievements of each, but also I keep feeling more desperate because of my embassy and there is nothing and I am on the month that my case was completed

We put in for an expedite at Santo Domingo DR Consulate as my work is needing me to get the interview out of the way so that I can take on long project work. Our case was completed 6/10 yet we were not getting interview dates just like most of us in the forum.

Thinking the expedite was the way to go, that is what we did. Now that they approved us, this is the email I got from the embassy:

Dear Mr. White,

Unfortunately, there are no more appointments available for September 2013, nor after. This case is still pending an appointment to be scheduled and it will be as soon as there is availability again. However, it would be on October or after.

We understand your situation, but that doesn’t constitute an emergency for us to expedite you interview date.

The presence of the petitioner is not mandatory, and if the consular officer requires it, he/she will indicate so to the applicant.
