I hired a lawyer back in October 2012 to file my paperwork for k1 visa just to make sure everything was done correctly and minimze any chances of getting an RFE,I recieved my NOA1 on October 2012, but guess what??? After nearly 8 months if waiting I checked the uscis website and I had an RFE!!!(6/18/13), Up until today I have yet to see the letter!! I called the people at uscis but they are never of any help, they said if I havent received the letter after 14 days to call back!! Has anybody experienced such delay??? And to make matters worse my lawyer wont return my calls!

I'm sorry you're goi through this. If it makes unfeel any better I waited a year and a half for my petition to be approved. We got our noa1 on nov 2011 and finally got approved on April 2013. And now again I'm playing the waiting game for Nvc to get our petition. I am beyond frustrated. But if it's one thing I've learned is that no one will do anything for you unless you take matters into your hands. Lawyers may be smart and educated on the laws but they have no idea what a person goes through being separated from their loved one. Don't wait any longer and be proactive!
