how can you not love a good carnitas taco? YUM!

I remember taking my SIL and brother to one of our favourite Mexican places and I overheard my SIL talking on the phone later complaining that they used real steak meat in the tacos and not ground beef... rolleyes.gif

I don't eat Mexican food, but I do order nacho's with fajita chicken with no vegetables and no beans. So not very Mexican at all other then it served there. I really don't eat much new foods at all.

I'm moving to California next week. How long does it take to acclimatise to Mexican food when you're a blow-in??

Otherwise Ill end up starving ........

My fiancee and kids have been here for a few days now, and had taco bell -- they loved it so much, they wanted it for the next meal too.

Don't worry -- Mexican food is varied enough that there is something for everyone.

What would Xenu do?

Better than ketchup on a hotdog, I guess.

I was never that big a fan of Mexican food until my step daughter started dating a Mexican boy, and his mom would send over different foods with him. Real Mexican is very light, fresh, wholesome and flavorful, not that glop with "Mexican" seasoning, that they serve at most Mexican restaurants.

I can relate to this.

People at my work love going out for mexican and Chipotle (restaurant) is as mexican as I get.

They get so upset every time I say I don't like mexican.

They're all 'OH MY GOD WHY NOT WHY HOW CAN YOU NOT COME ON TRY IT AGAIN!"

No, not even close. Chipotle is barely Tex Mex.
