I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post this, so I thought to be safe and post it here :)

So as per my other recent posts, I am returning to the USA July 18 to visit my boyfriend for 90 days :D
9 months apart.. I never, ever, ever thought this day would come! And needless to say I am nervous!!
My first visit, I got held up in Dallas.. and missed my connecting flight to Atlanta.
THIS time around, there is 2 hours and 45 minutes before I must get my connecting flight, I thought that would be plenty of time.. but it dawns on me that its currently summer in the USA.. and my flight is full.. so I am scared I am not going to make it in time, again!
I am only taking carry on luggage, to try to save myself some time, but I am going to get held up at POE and then again when I have to get my boarding pass printed D:

Whats the longest you have been held up?

I have never gone through DFW, I usually go through IAD (Washington Dulles) which is another busy airport. My tips for avoiding the long immigration queue is..

  • don't overload yourself with carry on bags, try and fit everything in one preferably with wheels
  • check in online for your flight as soon as possible and get a seat as further to the front of the aircraft as you can.
  • and lastly..run! move as quickly as you can to try and get ahead of the over 250 people that are on the aircraft with you.

Check in online and print out your boarding passes for all your flights so that you don't need to go looking for a desk to print one out for you.

Hope this helps..
