so here is a giant agency with dysfunction just like any other government agency and the challenges and barriers that are put up are created in attempt to prevent fraudulent immigrants from coming to the states are a joke???

I remember thinking it was going to be a snap when I got married to someone out of the country, but I learned my lesson quite quickly

remember who chose to marry a foreign national.. not really agreeing that the uscis is at fault for all of the challenges.. sorry

No, the challenges and barriers to prevent fraud aren't a joke. They are on the books and per memo neccessary. In reality, giving the lose discretion without checks and balances to CO's and their assumptious interpretation of those barriers and challenges that is a joke. The BS that runs on the sidelines like a 3 ring circus is a joke....you wouldn't know, you haven't been denied have you ? You didn't have to wait years in AP did you ?

Talk to me if you get denied and have to repeat this process or get stuck in AP with no end in sight. Of course it is ok with you

because you are sailing along just fine with minor bumps on the yellow brick road to happiness with abounding rainbows.

Walk a mile in my shoes and then ask me again if it is a joke. Differentiate the yellow brick road from being in the trenches will you ?

going to break my rule one last time> yes its true im just a hay seed country boy not as smart as yourself and thank you for putting me in my place you are very good at it . must have a lot of practice. Only facts I offered up were that I love this country I fought for this country and some of my close friends died for this country. those are the facts and I am entitled to them

I come from a military family. My brother barely knew my dad growing up because he spent so much time in Iraq, and my mother was sent into severe depression due to his absence. So I understand the desire to protect that which you've fought for so hard, but KhunKazuri is right, even if his/her tone may have been a bit harsh. There is no benefit to mindless jingoism or the attitude that you can't say anything negative about your country. Protesting and making your fellow citizens aware of when things aren't going as they should is not only a right, but a responsibility. It's the reason this country exists and we are no longer colonies of the Crown.

This isn't a city mouse, country mouse thing. It's a matter of holding your country to the appropriate standard of compassion, and in doing so setting aside your differences and grudges to do what is right and just, and that has nothing to do with where you may or may not live.

I don't know your religious background but we all have God.

Not true.

Please understand that while your intentions may be pure, it could be considered rude when one is so presumptive of another's religion, or lack thereof. Even if they are religious, when someone is going through a harrowing time where they may feel as though they've been abandoned, or maybe they've questioned how god could be so cruel when they've done nothing wrong, these messages sometimes only make that feeling worse.

Dude I dont even know what jingoism means. I never said anyone couldnt speak out againt their country thats crazy! as far as the country mouse thing you refer to was because he was making fun of my lack of education as compared to his vast knowledge of the world. this has got way out of control and will not answer anymore post about such matters

sorry for you situation.. I am aware of some of your struggles

I was doing no more than expressing my opinion to the OP's statement which is their opinion

thinking it was directed at you and your situation was not in any way how it was written

IMO there have been more prevented attempts at illegal immigration by this broken process than successful ones. I do have a bit more knowledge of the challenges in immigration than just my yellow brick road experience with the 130, so again.. was just a comment on a post started by someone else

Thank you.. I want to share with you that I am happy for you. My experience has been horrific at times.. but still I would never want to take away from the joy and happiness from anyone once it is over for them. I would like to find away to make it known.. that the immigration system is a joke.. lol. It is! Not the entire country.. I have never said that. I am sad to leave my home. But I made this choice.. I am fine with that. I just would like to see that it stops hurting people like this.

You seem like a very kind person. I'm sorry the immigration process drove you from this country. That is a shame on us in a way that words can't express, but I do hope you are able to live very happily in your new home!

well is not the case of the OP, that's why I started saying I don't know your religious background, I put God in a very generic way. Usually people get some comfort in their belief when hard times arrives. I disagree with you, I rather to cheer her up instead of bashing on anything else. The OP had been very clear with the opinions she feels are "offensive" to her. If she felt that my comment wasn't right or offensive she would had tell me don't you think? If she feels comfy with it, my job is done. You're the only who appears to be upset about it, and that's fine it's your personal opinion, but that's what it is, YOUR personal opinion, you shouldn't speak for others

Why would the immigration process be any different than the Post Office, Social Security, FBI, NSA, IRS, securing our borders our Senate and Congress. Everything the GOV. touches is a mess.......every week now for months....one scandal right after another......

What changed? You said you were never ever going to trust him again... http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/319399-now-believe-that-marriage-was-for-immigraion/

WOW... Is all I can say! Very illuminating as to why the process has been a nightmare for the OP... I suppose that having all this happen and all these bones fall out of a closet at an interview, having the petition pulled/cancelled, plus getting deported would certainly slow up an application or at least make uscis take some serious second looks at an applicant... I hate to say it, but I can't say that uscis is unjustified in doing so... There are a LOT of red flag issues that need to be addressed.

I stand by my recommendation that the OP go to live in Belgium/Netherlands as there are some serious hurdles that they will have to clear for him to come live here.... I think in this case blaming and bashing uscis and the us immigration process for taking a fine tooth comb is not appropriate. Not saying that for many, the whole process is insane and unfair, but in this case, it might be warranted.

To the OP, if you forgave him and worked it out, then all I can wish is that you all are reunited and happy... You are different then I would be in that situation I can tell you that... But I can't say as I have never faced such issues... I do however wish you the best and to be happy....

COME TOGETHER.. ALL OF US... to HELP... TO STOP THE HURT AND THE BROKEN SYSTEM!

See IT'S EARIER FOR YOU TO HAVE THE SAME preconceived opinions... JUST LIKE THE SYSTEM... and put people through HURT AND DISTANCE... THEN TO FIND A WAY TO FIX IT PROPERLY.

I was alone.. hurt.. and completely wrong... about what I said in that post. After that.. I choose my marriage.. and I choose not to be a static.. and come to find out.. I was right. HE WAS THE ONLY PERSON THAT STOOD BY ME. Doesn't change the lost file.. doesn't change the documents expiring.. doesn't change that we have been waiting again.. for almost 6 months again... I could go on and on... The point is... regardless of my past.. these people and I are hurting, go mad at times.. and just want to be happy regardless.

I am glad that you never had to walk in my shoes. I am glad that you are able to be with your loved one. I will be going to Belgium.. and out of your hair. But it won;t change the hurt for others. I just wanted everyone to see that the system is Broke. The system is broke for me too. Look forward... help do something about it. .. and lol... enjoy Florida.. cause Michigan.. sometimes sucks with the weather. I love my country.. I love my husband... the funny thing is... He grew up.. and what I found was not the truth.. and I was an a$$hole for jumping to conclusions.

Fact is now.. I waited to file again.. because I wanted to make sure.. what I thought wasn't the truth. So we didn't become a statistic.. either with immigration or with the national Divorce rate. Come to find out in time.. he showed me that he loved me.. instead of words.. and has become one of the best husbands, and father.. and friend that I could have asked for. Marriage should be hard.. hard work, hard to do, and even harder to Divorce. Three years later.. this was the best choice for us. Understanding communication, and teamwork. It wouldn't change the lost files, it wouldn't change the AP, it wouldn't change that my teenage son pissed at me.. decided to be hurtful..and call the police on my husband knowing that we were THIS close to the I485 and he was only 42 days over. You can disagree.. and think I deserve it. That's fine. I respect that.. but help with changing ... help the hurting for others if not for me. I am just a spec of dust... but together... we are strong.. Stay strong. America deserves to have family important.. America deserves to have a system that works!!! It doesn't work.. it's a joke.
