Wow.. you think that is the real question? Ok. I will play.. He was deported because he overstayed 42 days.. while we were saving to pay the I-485 adjustment of status. We are always fast to judge. I made a statement and simply stated the facts... we are all miserable.. no matter what the situation is.. GOOD BAD UGLY AND LONG.. quote.. No judgment. Really by your timeline.. the heartache for you has ended. So be nice.. your together .. and I truly hope that you guys are happy... most here are not. He's a good guy ( my husband) we didn't really know each other in the beginning.. he trusted me and listened to me, which at the time.. I was love stuck, stupid, uneducated, at the idea that immigration was NOT like it REALLY is. The reality is he was jailed for 90 days in our country and treated as a criminal.. cause I ASKED HIM TO STAY.. HE LISTENED.. HE PAID A HUGE PRICE.. and so are we now. We Broke the MAIN RULE OF IMMIGRATION... have huge deep.. and long standing money bags for pockets before you fall in love with someone outside this country.

It doesn't matter and shouldn't matter.

If he is qualified to immigrate then it should be done as efficiently as possible. If not then publish a clear cut and irrefutable guideline so folks don't waste their time and money.

Completely agreed... I have long become indifferent to this situation.. this immigration. If god is trying to teach me patience.. he is doing a good job. As I stated also to this reply as you did. It doesn't matter the situation.. if it's "NO" fine.. it's "NO".. LOL. But don't drag me and my children threw years of money, separation, and sometimes... deep despair. Just pick up the damn file.. read it.. make notes.. say NO.. and tell me that if I want to be with this man.. I can't be in America. Period. End of story... Fine. Then I/ we all can then make educated decisions on what to do next with our life. But.. this bull ####### of months and months and years and years is torture. Watching my daughter hug the computer screen of Skype and say "nite nite daddy" is something no one should go through... especially... my TWO YEAR OLD. Family first.. in America..??? HA! ALL #######!

The immigration process is long and hard... And many times seems unfair in its administration... this is all true... And the process has been made much harder for you and your family because of decisions you made... Much if this pain and uncertainty is the unfortunate consequences of your actions... And punishment sucks. But if the immigration system is too cumbersome or stressful for your family, I say be proactive and make the decision for yourself and move to your husbands country... The you will all be united, it will not be in America, but you will be together.

Unless I read wrong, no on person has stated that the US i snot the greatest country on earth.

The USA is absolutely the best place to live in the USA in my humble opinion(at least for me for now).

The issue is partly due to the success that the USA has, it is my opinion that we are hoping that we can apply some of the technology that has made us a high achieving nation in many many pursuits, that we can apply that same discipline to some of this immigration process.

If we can manage a United States Mars lander to travel to Mars in a shorter time than it takes for a family to be reunited on earth then something is wrong. Why should it take almost 2 months for a file to travel from USCIS to NVC when we have the ability to run the Prism program? We can build Hoover Dam with basically bare hands many years ago yet we can't seem to say yes or no to an application in 5 to 12 months for some.

Nothing is being taken away from the might and goodwill of the US, but please let's apply some technology to this process and speed it up.

What is stopping you from moving to your spouse country if USA immigration is too long for you?

Originally.. it was my 11 year old.. now we as a family have worked that out. So now only this I-130 interview that should be anytime... But in the beginning.. it was hard to attempt to explain to a 7 year old what was going on. I have now applied to go to my husband's country.. and they are telling me 2 or 3 days. Way different then here. Sad that I had to make that decision, due to the length of this process. I love it here.. I love it there too.. but it feels like.. a waste of the last 3 years.

Very true... shame that I need to leave home. Leaving soon.. so I will be out of everyone's hair. I was a productive hard working.. tax paying.. fun loving.. giving.. person.. that only wishes that everyone here.. including myself was just happy. I wish you all the Best. I hope every one here no matter the situation.. will be able to dry the tears, mend the heart. . ( regardless of mistakes and bad choices ) hug and kiss the loved ones. BE HAPPY!! Only get one life.. one shot.. it's not a practice run for later..

That is all anyone can hope for... If life op(or USCIS) throws you lemons, make lemonaide (or let it ferment it and make great limoncello)... Good luck and concentrate on what you CAN do to reunite your family... There is a great satisfaction in taking control of a situation...

To think this sometimes is the first government experience that people from all over the World experience just to be happy or a family in America!! WOW The whole immigration system is a joke, and a disgrace. There's no consistency, no humanity, forget compassion or understanding. Your just a greenback and a number.

Don't get me wrong, I have long overcome my lack of patience with this system. Because if I hadn't I would have gone cuckoo with this process. In the beginning I think I did a little. LOL. ( 3 years running) This by far has been the roughest, most taxing, trial that I have ever been through. Giving up careers, children, family, money... all for the American Dream of, Marriage 2.5 kids a dog and a white picket fence... HA!

The biggest shame.. and disgrace.. is this is what the country was made from!! Immigration!! But to think about the mounds of paperwork that immigration has to go through...and to have no rime or reason to THIS system is scary. How in the world can they keep out who they want to? Or let in who they should? When they have no idea where your file is? Who has it? How long it will take for someone to look at it? AGAIN.... How can they keep out who THEY SHOULD?!?!?

Cause that's the whole point! Right? Keep us safe? Keep out the Bad guys/people? ... LOCKS ONLY KEEP OUT GOOD PEOPLE!! Honest People!! Bad people.. don't use locks! What a joke.

Then to hear/ read all the stories about.. ohhhh.. She was "one hell of an actress". or. "he used me to come"..( I know... cause I was one of them years ago) Divorce.. shortly after Greencard stories. sigh... People barely knowing each other and getting married .. to divorce shortly after getting here. What a mess!.

I personally have one hell of a back story! Speaking from experience at the Stress that this process puts people threw.

I voted for the current president cause I truly hoped that... this immigration system would get better. HA! I feel so bad for ALL OF US... No matter what the story is, no matter what the situation is... GOOD BAD UGLY AND LONG!! I FEEL SO SORRY for all the HEARTBREAK that everyone is going through. Again...So sad that USA immigration is such a joke.. and FAMILY and HAPPINESS can be truly shattered. A Shame to think this sometimes is the first government experience that people from all over the World experience just to be happy or a family in America!! WOW

Not only is immigration a joke, it is a train wreck. Aside from decent and fair conoffs and other agency employees, there are corrupt, self important power hungry conoffs deciding over who should be united and who shouldn't, without checks and balances. Not according to fact based evidence but according to mere gut feelings and assumptions springing from biased speculation. Leaving cases in AP for months and years in non transparency like a shrouded veil is BS. This is supposed to be a fair process

not a damn gamble with an endless money pit for getting a chance to "play".

If you "lose" you may enter again. For a fee of course.

All with a frontloaded super well put together package without any issues!

BLAH ! I am disillusioned. Legal immigration is not a popular "talking point" and there is no one to turn to to fix this #######. girlwerewolf2xn.gif

it sucks to hear of the issues other people are having just to get to their loved ones in the U.S.

i wish it was as easy for you as it was for us. though good things come to those who wait (as hard as it is...). i thought about the time i waited like this: "it costs money, time, heartache and stress. if i can wait through this immigration process, then we can get through anything." i thought six months from start to finish was slow but there are people who wait years. i really hope you get your NOA2 and start the real process very soon! once your case gets to the NVC, that's when it starts getting fast! providing you have no issues of course. good luck!

UK apparently now has quite a cumbersome system having to jump through hoops finacials, etc...

my personal experience, In Italy, to get my permit to stay (permesso di soggiorno) waited outside the police station 3 days a row behind barriers starting at 6 am... The officer yelled and screamed at everyone calling them names and handed out a random number of tickets which indicated how many people they would see that day (one day they only handed out 16 numbers as they had some officers not show up for work) .... They only see people between 8-11 am and if you got a number... Took me 3 days... And I was sick with a cold after the whole ordeal...

So yes, there are other places with systems that are challenged
