My petition for my fiancé got approved. I got a letter in the mail not sure if its NOA2 or not. It's just a piece of paper. I assumed the NOA2 was a packet with instructions in it?

The piece of paper just says all the items have been forwarded to the NVC and my petition was approved. I was looking for follow up instructions but didn't see any. So is this my NOA2 or should I wait for another packet?

My follow up question would be after I receive my NOA2 do I call NVC right away or wait 2 more weeks after receiving it. My petition was approved on June 27 do I go 2 weeks after that date? Or do I wait for NOA2 then wait 2 more weeks after I receive it?

Thank you

Yup that is your NOA2. Proceed with your packet 3.

Your file will be in and out of NVC within a few days. Don;t wait weeks to call. If you already have the hard copy NOA2 your file may have already left NVC. I would call Monday.

Check the Embassy website for the packet three instructions

Yes, the NOA2 is just an approval notice for the I-129F petition. Make sure not to lose it. You will need a copy of it when it comes time to adjust status, and the beneficiary's A# can be found on it near their name.

You get instructions from your consulate. All of them have different processes and requirements. You need to research the info for the one your fiance(e) will be going though.
