My fiancee' is looking to keep some things in storage rather than give them away or sell. Is there anything like self storage companies in Brazil and what are their names? Thanks in advance for any help!

Where does she live? Yes we have those in Brazil but they aren't cheap, if it's a temporary thing it's ok, but not in a long term. Doesn't she have anyone, maybe family that can storage for her?

Hola Nessa! Como vai? My fiancee lives in Cascavel near Foz do Iguacu. Most of her family lives about three hours away in Amambai so giving her stuff to them isn't an option.

On another note, we just found out that her interview date will be on 1/23/2007! That is a Tuesday. Since it takes two days to get her passport back, do you think I'm cutting it too close if we schedule our return flight to the U.S. Thursday evening?

On still another note, welcome to the US! I'm very happy that the (visa) journey is over for you guys!! How are you adjusting to your new life? Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Congrats on the interview date! I know storage places are expensive in Brasil, but tell your fiancee to call moving companies, they usually have that sort of service or know how to point her in the right direction.

Oh, she's from Paraná too. She has to take a look either online or with a phone book and call some places that offer ''transporte, cargas, armazenamento e logística''. I know we have those in Curitiba, even close to the airport we have, and Cascavel is not a very small city no, I'm sure she can find more than one company that will offer that service.

Is she flying from Rio de Janeiro, or is she going back home before leaving? If she's going back home I'd give more than 3 days, if she's flying from Rio it will be safer to fly friday afternoon or night, just in case, altho they tell you to go pick up the passport with the visa 2 days later, unless there is a holiday, so you might check that.

Thank you. I'm adjusting well, and the AOS hell will begin soon, so our journey isn't over yet :P

good luck!
