Hi Everyone! Im a newbie here and I would like to know if any of you had the same experience smile.png

My interview went smoothly yesterday, September 12, 2013. It's just that during the preliminary screening (Filipino Consul) she mentioned that they will be needing the other divorce papers of my fiance. Anyway, my fiance has 3 previous marriages and all were terminated already. I only have the latest divorce paper, so I thought that would be fine (Thinking, how can you re-marry if your previous marriage wasn't terminated yet, right?). Same thing happened with the American consul, he asked me to submit a copy of the other 2 divorce papers. I called my fiance right after my interview and I was able to submit a copy of 2 divorce court decisions this morning (September 13) in 2GO Mall of Asia.

I am just worried. Does any of you had the same situtation? Insights please? How long will I wait again? Anyway, I asked the man in window 71 who instructed me to just drop the documents via 2GO and he told me it won't take a month, or so. I just really hope so.. cray5ol.gif

Tessie's interview was the same days as yours. You may have seen her! Looks like every approval shows AP when approved. Just wait a few weeks and go from there. You sent what they needed, so keep waiting and hanging tough!

The same thing happened to my fiancé. He was interviewed in Havana, Cuba on 07/10/2013, but we needed phone records so the consulate gave him a pass to come back with the evidence and that he could come back in a week. He later realized that he still had his passport so he had to return to the consulate and give it to them. After getting home, he got a call form the consulate stating that they needed another form completed, which he took today. Up until a year ago, he was part of the Union for Young Communists in Cuba and I'm really scared that might cause a problem with him getting the visa. They told him to return in two weeks!!!!!!! That's killing both of us! It is under Administrative Review.

Hey Nissy and Yani,

My fiance was interviewed 06/24/2013 and approved that day. He brought back the medical review right after the Fourth of July. He is still in administrative processing. My fiance goes back each week and I check the status online. Still nothing.

Has your fiance been approved yet?

Hello everyone. I'm in the same situation as well. And I was shocked when I checked my case status from 'Ready' to 'Administrative Processing'. I called earlier the USEM, they told me that I will receive a call or email if they ask for any documents, and I'm hoping not. Because at the releasing area after my interview, the staff of USEM told me that our case is ok and approved that we have to wait for 2 days or last week to receive our passport with visa. And yet, it is been a week since my interview last January 7, 2014. I'm hoping that this is not a serious matter about my case. I'm a bit worried.

Am I confused or is Administrative Processing a normal thing? My status went from Ready to Administrative Processing today after 5 days, last weekend included. I have been checking case status from the CEAC almost hourly. If it goes to Issued tomorrow and I hadn't checked it today then I'd be under the impression that mine indeed never went to AP. I didn't like to read the Ready for 5 days because I knew the case was collecting dust somewhere. Now at least they are looking at it and processing it. I'll post in the next couple days to inform whether or not it has been issued. Has anyone watched it so close? I read the post earlier that said Ready for 10 days and then AP for 1 day, so I'm watching it too close maybe??? The interview went well and me and my fiancé both attended. No additional documents were asked for and a congratulations was given, but technically they aren't allowed to indicate whether it's approved or not on the spot because Manila requires all visas to be further reviewed...correct???

We are pretty much in the same predicament. My fiancé had her interview on the 24th as well. Can you let us know how your app turns out and we'll do the same if there are any changes in ours. Hope this ordeal won't take that long anymore. Thanks.

Hi! I know this ha long been posted but I have the same case. The consul said I was approved, he didnt ask for any document or proof to be submitted to. My interview was January 14, 2015, January 22, 2015 they changed the status from READY to AP. How long did you wait for the visa to be issued? I'm so worried. I thought everything was okay already.Thanks.

Hello,

Can I ask what your status is now? I am in the same predicament with my Fiance in Cuba. It's a very long story, but cut to the chase, he went to Havana, traveled 12 hrs. each way, the 3rd time he thought his Visa was approved, they told him it would take 1.5mos. to process, he went back on March 20,2015 only to be handed a denial letter with a code 221 on it. Today May 04,2015 I checked online with the Visa center and it says his case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing & the process can take a few weeks. We have gone around, and around in circles since he began going to the consulate in Havana, up to that point all was good. Also on the update from the Visa center it mentions the Diversity Visa program & explains it. Does that have anything to do with a Fiance' Visa? I emailed the consulate, emailed and talked to USCIS, only to find out that I should have been trying to contact the National Visa Ctr, which I tried today & the operators are busy, try later.......so I emailed & will continue trying to call. Did you go through any of this? Please advice.
