There has been no RFE or other notices between Acceptance Confirmation, Initial Review and Post Decision Activity. What is up with this? Anybody know what this means? Approval in 17 days? Denial without an RFE?

Email Notices:

Day 1

Acceptance Confirmation USCIS:

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing."

---

Day 7

Initial Review:

"Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)."

---

Day 17

Post Decision Activity:

"your notice I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record...

"For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

Well from what I've seen others post that may be an approval! I hope so cus that would be so amazing for you! Otherwise it may be a glitch in the system. Some people have gotten notices in emails or on the website that have stated just what your last message did & never got the actual message that said I-129f approved but still got the NOA2.. So please keep us updated when you receive the notice in the mail :).. Good luck!

Did you include everything that is required for filing the I-129F? Check the GUIDE if you are unsure. I ask because of the short time frame, if the petition was grossly incomplete the last notice may mean this was noted during initial review and they are returning the petition.

There is no NOA2. Those are all of the notices received. Havent even gotten a hard copy of the acceptance letter (NOA1).

Have you check the USCIS website? You can check status there.

Not sure what service center your petition was at but normally its a EAC or WAC number, now that Texas is processing some petitions I am not sure if the lettering.

Yes, everything required was in the package. I followed the guide, printed out a checklist, checked it 3 times and made sure of the order of the pages.

The status is "Post Decision Activity". Now the file was "touched" on a Saturday, the day after they sent the email!

Its at California Service Center.

Well that makes this very interesting. :)

Another thought. Are you in the military?

There are a lot of us that will be watching for the notice from USCIS to arrive.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Mystery solved...

USCIS sent my NOA1 to the wrong address (my residence, no mail service), it was returned to them! This prompted them to send the "Post Decision Activity" notice. Which turned out to be a "request to change address". This was delivered to my proper mailing address (my P.O. Box) today, which they had all along because I put both addresses in the petition; and I told them which were residence and mailing addresses.
