My experience at the U.S. consulate in Rio de Janeiro

I arrived early 6:30 am and was first in line, has many people there organizing the queue.
When opened we entered I was sent to the second floor, a very kind man gave us 3 forms to be filled, after that he had checked the documents and asked me to sit down again.
I was the first to be called by a nice lady who had three documents folders, one was mine and the other of my two children, and she checked everything and asked about my previous relationships, children, as I entered the U.S., how many times, about my current relationship then took my fingerprints my sons too

Then she asked us to sit back again, half hour later a young consul called me by name, he repeated most of the questions that had already been made​​, also asked why I came to Brazil 35 week pregnant, what day I got married, the last time had seen my husband, took our fingerprint again.
Sit back again he continued typing on the computer, another half an hour, he called me asked if I had pictures of my family to show him, I said I had not, then he started interviewing my 2 year old baby,belive that, asking my baby his name, his father's name, was then that I remembered I had a copy of my husband passport with me, i showed to the baby and asked who is in the photo? A faster answer came dad, dad, dad...Seems to have been enough for the consul, he asked me to sign some papares, explained that visas were available for my children but for me I would need a waiver (of course i knew it).

Then i went to the Post Office paid the fee, got back to consulate gave Them proof of paymentwhen, it was 10 am I had already done everything.

Ready for the waiver on monday!!!!

About what are the 3 forms to be filled ? They are too long ?!

Not to long, just names and address, phone #, both e-mail adress, petitioner address and phone # in US, case nunber.

Can you explain more about your waiver....I am thinking my wife will need a waiver....What did they say?
