Happy Birthday to both of you. (F)(F)

Amal: Thanks for teaching me what appears to be Happy Birthday song in Arabic!! You rock.

Charles: Happy to see you bright and early. So are you working by day and honey mooning by night?? :P

My first day back at work was great...my patients all missed me :D It's good to be missed sometimes.

We are snowed and iced in. I was not able to get into my driveway yesterday so parked car next door at my parents. I like up a steep driveway...knew one day I would not like it!! But by summer the view is great! My roommate picked up my son from work early and got him home safely thanks to God. Roads are a sheet of ice so news is telling everyone to stay home. Even Microsoft closed, for the first time in history. There are still people out on the road from last night's seahawks game! that is how bad it is.

Wishing you all a happy tuesday. I'm going to drink menthe tea and make an attempt to stay warm.

Maggie

Happy Birthday to both our birthday girls. :jest:

Kelly, I hope you have a wonderful time tonight.

:)

Maggie, please be safe!

My son brought home some Mexican "jumping beans" from his cruise.

They're driving me nuts. I'm gonna make him take them back to his dad's house.

:D

And I'm so looking forward to trying the pumpkin bread we made last night. I hope tastes as yummy as it smells. And if not, then at least it smells good. :P

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Happy birthday Kelly!

T'was a rough night last night in the bakery. No one knew I was starting this week. Adil's EAD came in the mail yesterday. He's going to start looking for a new job now. Hopefully he'll find a good job to start ASAP! So... I just remembered something I wanted to ask about. While going through some things in the apartment I came across a letter from the voter registration office. At first I thought it was voter's registration card, but when I opened it, it had my husbands name on it! Now correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you had to be a citizen to vote here in the US. I asked him about it, and he told me that when he applied for his drivers license, his first year here, they had the option to vote. He didn't really know what it meant and picked yes. They sent him his card stating that he's a republican( he told me that he would never be a republican) and where his new site to vote will be since we moved. So could the government have over looked the fact that he is not only not a citizen, he's not even a permanent resident yet?! Crazy! Anyway, thought I could get some insight on that.

Nothing going on today except work and a meeting tonight with a guidance counselor from my new school to help me prepare to start next year. I hope you all have a good day!

yes, they can overlook it and have been known to do so.

Well... I guess that's a good thing that he has a privilege that others don't. But I wonder what would happen if he voted and they realized the mistake.
