Should we expect approvals today?

Yes I believe something must have happened to those cases & that's what's so unfair. Obviously the system for these petitions is extremely disorganized. So when the petitions are placed into these boxes how are they placed? With other petitons submitted around the same time? What is their system of organizing everything? Because how can one box be picked up & have new petitions when older ones still need to be approved. I know some cases get RFE's slowing down the process but you would think if I grabbed a box labeled January 1-10th 2013.. Then when finished with that box I would grab the next box closest to the date I left off at.. Right? So I'm dying to know what is there system for picking petitions.. Completely random? It can't be just by date... Otherwise so many people wouldn't still be waiting.. Right? This leads me to believe that they also approve newer petitions to keep within the "processing times" or at least to give the impression of doing so??? Any ideas?

Yes, the files are boxed as they come in, so they are pretty much in order as far as the files in that particular box. As far as the boxes themselves, though, they are placed on a shelf, and get pushed to the front as the ones in front of those are taken. So supposedly, they are taken in order, but many adjunctators just take the one they see first along the front of the shelf, rather than first examining all of them to see which one has the earliest dated files. And every now and then one box gets shoved way to the side and gets forgotten about for a while. But they all eventually get taken.

That's how the former adjunctator explained it anyhow.

All I can say is wow! Not a very good or fair system. I hope my box doesnt get pushed aside! Lol so they must get in all the petitons & them place them in different boxes according to date & importance. They have approved petitions faster for beneficiaries who come from countries like Syria or Cuba etc. Anyway thank you for the information.. Its definitely been eye opening.

No problem. Here is the Q & A session with the former adjunctator if you are interested.

Oh, and I forgot to ask, but where is the thread that the March 2012 filer participated in?

Thanks! I'll check it out. I have no clue how to share a thread on here lol but it was posted under K1 visa filing and progress reports. Labeled March (2012) filers on the very last page the first post.

Found it thanks. And I researched his posts. He apparently has had three RFEs, the first of which was in October, and one of which was sent to the wrong address. So, while it is too bad what he has gone through, at least some of it is explainable and isn't quite like others who have heard nothing since the NOA1.
