Mine was approved last month on a Monday and was notified on Tuesday. It's a Saturday so I doubt you'll get anything today. When they approve it can take a few days for them to update it on the USCIS system.

No, and actually both CSC and TSC really slowed down the past two days too, coming to a complete stop Friday, so I don't know what is going on. Next week will be a shortened week too due to July 4th.

Well keep in mind that many people who file petitions are not members of visa journey. So maybe some of those petitions got approved & some people on here never fill out a timeline or update it. I'm sure petitions are still being processed.. So try not to loose hope :)

Once in a rare while that is the case, but usually it's pretty reflective of the overall approval rate. Someone charted this for two years, and found a pretty tight correlation.

Two straight days of CSC stoppage means something is likely up.

Well I don't really believe that since my sister went through this process a few years ago & never knew about this site & I see newbies joining everyday who already have their NOA2's.. So based on that I've considered there could be many petitions not tracked on igor's list. I only happened to stumble upon this site myself when I was researching how to file an I-129F petition. Many people also use lawyers who tell them what to do & they never find this site. Also I guess I don't understand where you see that CSC had no approvals for two days.. I see two on the 28th based on Igors list & Vermont has had approvals every single day now for a while.

Oh I'm not saying all are on VJ if you thought I was saying that. In fact only roughly 5% are. People have done studies and charts on this - look up Bayareaguy's. I'm just saying that those studies have found a pretty tight correlation between the two (VJ approvals vs. overall USCIS). When one slows to a trickle the other does. Once in a while, however, you do see a day when the fact there are zero VJ approvals does not mean it was slow at USCIS. It is rare though.

Ahh ok gotcha :) makes sense.. I just know there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the way they approve petitions. I feel they should be held accountable for approving in a timely manner & I also feel they should send us monthly updates on our cases.. No more of this "black hole" thing that happens between NOA1 & NOA2! I read a post today where someone who filed back in March of 2012 is still waiting for NOA2! How ridiculous & unfair is that?

It seems that way, but if you study the trends long enough, you do tend to see some consistencies. For instance, both centers have always operated on a "binge and purge" cycle, meaning you see some months they are active in approving I-129Fs and some months they don't seem to be approving very many at all. It is never the case where they approve them steadily over long periods of time. The reason for that is they have other types of applications that must be handled as well, with operating deadlines and mandates for those. So personnel tasks get shifted a lot all the time.

As far as the dates, a former adjunctator came on here once a few years ago and explained it - the files are kept in boxes, and when an adjunctator finishes one box, they just go and get the next one available - they don't wait until other adjunctators are finished with their boxes before doing so, they begin on the new box right away. This is why you will see some approvals at later months and some from earlier months still yet to be approved. What's more, every adjunctator works at a different speed, with numerous factors affecting that, whether it is the cases themselves, vacation times, quotas, or the need to adjunctate other file types as well.

The March 2012 case, as well as the few July 2012 cases from CSC that are still pending are gross exceptions, though, leading me to believe something happened to those files.

Yes I believe something must have happened to those cases & that's what's so unfair. Obviously the system for these petitions is extremely disorganized. So when the petitions are placed into these boxes how are they placed? With other petitons submitted around the same time? What is their system of organizing everything? Because how can one box be picked up & have new petitions when older ones still need to be approved. I know some cases get RFE's slowing down the process but you would think if I grabbed a box labeled January 1-10th 2013.. Then when finished with that box I would grab the next box closest to the date I left off at.. Right? So I'm dying to know what is there system for picking petitions.. Completely random? It can't be just by date... Otherwise so many people wouldn't still be waiting.. Right? This leads me to believe that they also approve newer petitions to keep within the "processing times" or at least to give the impression of doing so??? Any ideas?
