2+ months since NOA1 and no touches yet?

Hmm... I was wondering if it was normal to NOT have ANY touches at all? It's been 2 months and a few days since the NOA1 and my case has not been touched/updated at all since... Is this okay or do you think they might have misplaced mine or something else... Should I be worried?

Thanks!

Nothing is normal but your situation is not unusual. If recent activity is the norm you probably still have 30 days or so to go.

:time:

YMMV

The service center has up to 6 months to process your case, most of the time a few touches happen at the end of the processing.

You can call them but it wont help they just recite what you see on the USCIS website.

Also please do a timeline, and fill in the blanks in your profile, like what country your fiance is from, it helps others understand your case better.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

:protest: It's been 120 days for me and NO TOUCHES. I wonder every day if they've lost or misplaced my application. But then there are a few others still waiting for a touch from June and July. For some reason some cases get touched alot and others that get approved within a "reasonable" amount of time, while a few cases each month seem to get left behind for one reason or another. I've tried to figure out if there's some type of pattern such as country, age, divorces, prior K-1's, etc. No pattern at all. Just the way it is. Hopefully your petition will be one that gets approved quickly and you won't have to wonder about it much longer.

If you know they received your petition and you have your NOA, you're fine. You cannot go by touches and each case takes a different length of time. Could be 60 days, could be 160. Hang tight.

You know someone posted the other day saying how he now "hated the weekends and Holidays." I thought that was kind of funny but is so true.

The frustrating part of the whole thing is simply the "unknown" and not being able to speak to anyone. We are just not accostomed to that but I guess we have to deal with it. There have been several times that I just thought: i will go to Colombia and marry her instead and then file at the Embassy. But I have heard stories that it may take a year to get her hear. In any event, I have tried to be patient, have visited her (which helps a lot) and simply resigned myself to the fact that I am just going to have to wait. BUT I WANT A DARN TOUCH.

A friend of mine was approved with no updates (touches) to her case.

Mine is the same. 2 months today and not a peep. I'm a little on edge because I sent mine in nearly 4 months ago and have yet to hear anything, although I know the receipt date is the "official" date. I feel for you. I almost wish for an RFE just so I can feel like I am doing something. It seems as if they are going through the early and mid-September files, so we should be soon........I hope.

Getting touched here. It feels good. :D Everyone's touches will come at some point. Sometimes they don't mean a damn thing, like the one we got on 10/21. Other times they do. Please.... Please.... Please God.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
