Thanks for the information apple21. Do you happen to know if a companion other than the husband or fiance is allowed to accompany at the embassy to help take care of the kids?

Yes, companions are allowed even if they are not the father/mother of the applicants AS LONG AS the applicants are small children, disabled or senior citizens.

In my previous post I mentioned I was allowed entry, technically I was the companion.

My fiancee called the embassy and she was told that she has to bring the kids to the interview. They also told her that she is not allowed to have a companion accompany her on the interview to help take care of the kids. Nevertheless, she is going to bring her sister on the day of the interview and see if she can persuade the embassy staff to allow her sister to accompany her. I will let you know how it turns out. Interview is scheduled for July 11.

I hope the results of the medical exam arrive in time so she doesn't have to reschedule the interview. She completed Day 1 of the medical exam Wednesday, July 3. She will complete Day 2 of the medical exam (immunizations) on Friday, July 5. They are having her wait an extra day so they can get the results of her daughter's TST (tuberculin skin test) on Friday. Nothing like cutting it close - haha.

Things are moving really fast now. We just received MNL case number June 25. Medical exam to be completed July 5. CFO class to be completed July 9 or 10, and interview to be completed on July 11. We are making up for time lost in file transfer from CSC to NVC -- it took 42 days to get MNL case number from NOA2 notice date - a process which takes on average only 20 days.

Are you not the petitioner USC? They are allowed to be with the beneficiary at USEM.

No. As I've said, I only accompanied my husband (boyfriend then) and our 3 kids to their F2B interview at USEM.

You were right!!! They let her sister accompany them on the interview. And all went well - visa approved!!!!!!!!! The only reason they wanted the kids there was to verify that they match the pics on the passports and photos attached to the forms. Thanks for the good advice.

Congrats.dancin5hr.gif the age of the K-2 applicant determines what if any questions are asked at the interview. my daughter was 10 at the time of the interview and was asked one question by the CO, " how old are you?"
