Hi all,

I have been putting some paperwork together for the R.O.C. and just wanted to know if the info I am sending off will be enough.

Here goes, Copies of Bank statements with joint names since I started work in October 2011

Mortgage statement

Loan statement

Life Insurance with joint beneficiary

My U.K pension with my wife as the 100% beneficiary

2 Car finance details, bill of sales in joint names

Tax Return from 2012

Property tax statement

401K beneficiary details

Car Insurance

Former apartment lease

Photo of a Tattoo I have on my chest showing my wife's name and date of our wedding

All the paperwork have both our names on.

Thanks in advance

Dave :)

So back to your question. You have good stuff. Much better than we had.

Do you have 2011 tax return? Either joint or you as married with her name as spouse? And photocopies of both driver licenses with the same address is always a good one to throw in.

Make sure some of your evidence is dated back to 2011. They want mingling for two years, not things you did just in 2013. Do you have a joint bank account going back to the beginning so you can put in some statements from 2011, 2012, and 2013?

Thanks for the reply,

The bank statements go back to when I started work in 2011 with joint names, so that is ok.

We have moved apartments on 3 occasions and have joint names on those before buying our house in December last year.

The 2011 tax returns are in the house somewhere, I am sure I can find them.

Regarding the driving licences we have different ones, but I think we will go to the DMV on Friday to change them. Although we have the car insurance with both or names on and I am sending copies of all those.

  • 3 weeks later...

So, I received a letter stating my stay has been extended by 1 year last week and yesterday I received a letter with my biometric appointment date for August 8th. So looks like my paperwork was good enough as proof.

Thanks again Visajourney for all the help you give to me and many others

Dave :)
