So its fair to say then that AP in MENA countries has an entirely different meaning from in does in some other embassies including Jamaica. For what its worth I which they would use another word to describe whatever they do in Jamaica embassy to get our visa ready than to use the word 'administrative processing'.

I guess any paper-work is Administrative processing think about it,

if they say U R approved & collected your PP speculating & griping

here will sometimes get U mis-information, I read in any country the

processing & sending out visas can take a day up to 10 wks, remember

the visa is a privilege not a right and of course ppl gets anxious to see it

and have in hand , but remember thousands are in the system from

many countries, be thankful U R not from a MENA country and only have

to worry if U went out & committed a crime/arrested since they took your

PP.or there's a lie in your package..they do run a quick final check

what are you talking about? because you are WRONG!!!!

everybody gets put into AP until they issue the Visa!

do you understand?

there is further AP that may occur tough but you will only know this if they communicate this to you.

Wow relax. I'm not sure you read my post thoroughly. Where did I say no AP. I understand very well along with V'Jers help what the process is. I simply offered my oberservations since I have continually monitored this site for those who have been recently approved through JA. I have been in "AP" going on 5 weeks now and have seen where those with a marriage cert have received their visas rather quickly.

Just want to report that today my case status said "Issued" so I am expecting to see my passport in a few days! It a relieve considering they had gone ahead and cancelled my 10-ten visitor at the interview. Thanks for all the input and advice from everyone. Its always good to hear other people's point of view.

I have had my visa approved on 4th September, got asked to send another supporting party on a separate affidavit form. Sent the forms with my passport on 28th October as it took me a while to receive them from my supporter in U.S, still awaiting to receive my passport and approval notice back from U.S Embassy London.

As far as I am aware it's a waiting game, which is tough to handle....

My fiance's interview was on Jan. 21st 2014. He was approved, but no visa as yet. Case went from Ready! Now in administrative processing. The cite says if approved will get it in 2 business days. Any insight?

My fiancé had his interview today. They took his passport and gave him a paper requesting additional documents needed (from a Co Sponsor). They told him I could email the documents to them, funny thing though because the documents needed were in the folder I sent with him. I guess Jamaica is one of the countries that they need more time before final approval.
