MY interview was on June 27, 2013, and my visa was approved after a short interview of about 5 minutes. However, today June 28 my case status says administrative processing. Is this a normal case status after interview in jamaica?

there is no information on my status as yet, each time I view the site it tells me there is no information on the way bill number so your process seems to be faster since your status is showing administrative process. I had my interview on the 25th and was approved, i'm still waithing to see or hear something.

Approved May 10 and was in AP, 2 weeks later received a call that document was missing. So June 10 once my husband handed it in,it still said AP and we're still waiting. I can look at other country portals, and people are getting their visa's in less than 5 days. What I've seen on the Jamaica portal RECENTLY, everyone is waiting 2 weeks plus.

not every country, but yes several go through ap.. mena especially, but recently seeing this a lot in Jamaica.. not sure if it is due to some fraudulent activity recently or some kind of activity that was monitored there

hope you all get out soon

We were approved on April 18 and got the visa on May 14 so yes, seems everyone ends up in some kind of AP after the interview......

I'm sure your visa will be issued by next week. I have seen where they update the status to "administrative processing" just before issuing the visa. Also marriage visa seem to be processed quicker than fiance.

what are you talking about? because you are WRONG!!!!

everybody gets put into AP until they issue the Visa!

do you understand?

there is further AP that may occur tough but you will only know this if they communicate this to you.
