I recevied this yesterday from the VSC saying that my K1 application was sent back to the Mesquite TX Service Center because they have jurisdiciton over this case. They gave me a 'premium' 1-800 # to call that is good for 15 days after TX receives the app. My question is why was my app sent from TX to the VSC in the first place when it was sent to TX initially? I'm in Florida. Unless, all the apps initially go to TX then processed at VSC then to TX for additional processing? My NOA1 was Feb 6 2013. And, is this app sent to the bottom of the pile in TX or has it completed the first phase of clearance and back to TX for final clearance/processing before the NOA2? Hope that is the case....Will call Monday.

Thanks

VSC has been known to have a bit of a backlog, and lots of applications have been sent to other offices (texas) to help that issue out.

The texas lockbox we send our applications to first off is just a sorting facility I believe. They just cash the cheque and ship it out to whichever of the two K1 offices that have jurisdiction over where the US citizen lives.

I'm not sure where the borders are between CSC and VSC.

Bright side, it looks like texas has been pumping out the approvals, so hopefully you'll hear something in the next month (based on what I've been seeing)
