Oh man I really hope we dont have to wait 7 months goofy.gif

I agree with Queen though its NEVER too early to contact your congressman, you need to be pro-active from start to finish, not only in educating yourself on the process but making the most out of all the tools at your disposal.

Precisely. In this process, no one is responsible for your application but you ultimately, and if you don't fight your corner and push for answers, no one else will.

The Queen of Blades is correct in her own case and in the idea it doesn't hurt to try all of this advise. However the larger percentage of people report far different results with these politicians. Mine turned out to be worthless. I have seen many cases here on V J that mirrored mine and few that went as well as hers.

When anyone contacts these politicians they should ask what their voting record is on immigration. When did they take action on immigration issues? Why wont the elected official respond in person?

Each politician has a staff trained to placate the party asking for help. Each requires a form to be filled out requesting this help. Find here on V J the recent post by the person that actually worked in one of these offices. They said most of the requests were not read and thrown in the trash. That is first hand info which shines a light on reality.

I know there are other post out here about this, but I just needed to reach out to someone....

I am a Feb 20th filer for K1 visa, then on June 21 my file was transferred to "a USCIS office". I have not received a letter tellling me where to, I am assuming Texas since I live in Georgia. I called USCIS today to inquiry and was told I now have to wait an additional 180 days for any type of approval...

Really????? I see people on here that are approved not to long after a file is transferred...I will go crazy to wait 4 months before I am outside of the "normal processing times"

Is this just standard thing they say to you or is it really 4 months before I can inquire again.....

Well I'm going to jump in on the HANG IN THERE bandwagon. The transfer to texas should definitely be seen as a good thing, as they are starting to get them out quickly. Of course they do have their off and slow days but that might just be because we are coming up to the holiday. People generally hold out and take vacation around this time, and that means possibly less people working on the cases at the moment. You should get the letter in about a week or so about the transfer to Texas, which there is no doubt in my mind that it is there. Definitely stay away from those toxic thoughts (reading about the transfers is a big one! It got me at first too), and stay positive. Work on the post-NoA2 stuff now if you can, so you keep it fresh in your mind somewhere. Hell I had everything planned out and researched at the beginning of this whole process and now I find myself checking out all my links again. It's been said if you want something so bad than pretend you already have it, and don't just half-heart it, really believe it's already yours.

You'll get there, we all do. :)

Also don't listen to the USCIS, they give out generic, and general answers. If you want start getting your Senator's office involved, some are good at looking into your case before the past processing time (like mine). Even if they don't you have officially put your foot in their door, and they know who you are. All good things in my book.

I have actually contacted both of my Senators and my Congressman, we will see if it helps. ClockWatch2.gif

I hope you will take the time to report whatever takes place. Everyone would like to think they can get help of course and I always hope these people will actually do what we pay them to do. Represent us.

The form we filled out asked if we had contacted another politician. It seemed if we did then they wouldn't get involved.
