Thanks for your advice, i will try once more time.

It's been getting more difficult to keep in good spirits as we wait and watch processing times exceed their normal times. I send Linh flowers and they are fairly inexpensive and they take a photo of her with them and email you the receipt and photo. She is happy as it is something real she can touch and it can be also more evidence of your relationship. For me when she isn't sad and anxious and hurting lonely, then it is easier for me also. Well it lasts for about a week.

Good luck my friend.

I mailed off all that was requested and then some for my RFE and sent it next day return receipt. I included the updated timeline notorized and the both her signed intent to marry and my intent to marry signed and notorized. also more photos of both the first meeting, and the second meeting including photos of the Dam hoi. I was thinking the more information I send the better for both the NOA2 approval and Linh's interview .

Did I mention what an awful heart wrenching process this is??

sorry I got to vent a little occasionally.

Dam hoi is overrated ( there are Dam hoi businesses in VN, they will set up and make it like a real Dam hoi for a reasonable fees) , just for your infor. many fraudulent marriages used Dam hoi as their proxy to make it looked more legit, Dam hoi won' t make it more assurance, as long as you have all your creditable documents required by the consulate, you will have no problems. Traditional Vietnamese Dam hoi is in the past, though its still use for many, but, not all follow the tradition, and the consulate knew it. Many got their K1 Visa approved without , so called Dam họi.

For sure is isn't required, one of the questions at the consulate is often when is your Dam hoi. Linh's parents are 64/62 and it was required by them. and also was a fun experience. I met a lot of her older relatives and younger ones as well. I enjoyed spending the time every evening to have dinner with them and even to help cook. The Dam Hoi did have signs with the date which was something I was short on for my first visit so I thought that may help. But is all the regulation and time really needed by uscis, 3 of my four grand parents immigrated from Europe without papers. two came thu ellis island and filled out some forms and stayed two weeks under quarantine. the other simply got off the ship in new Orleans. We really want to get on with our lives, we want a child together but I am not young and she doesn't think she is either, but I feel every woman deserves motherhood. so I hope this doesn't keep dragging on.
