It may not be a law, but it does factor into the minds of a juror to what's "reasonable". Which may be difficult to comprehend to some, but others are quite adept at.

The outcome may eventually be more of a shock to you than it is to me, because I'm not on any white or black side of this subject.

You have demonstrated over and over what you think of the 17 year old deceased animal in this case. Not my words, but your own. You've went from not caring at all on the bad GZ days, to having deep opinions on the guilty thug that TM was when the situation changed. If the verdict is guilty I'm sure you'll be once again whisked away into your vacation and back to semi-interested state once again. All without a tv or watching the case at all...that's almost clairvoyant.

The irony in all this is that Al and Jesse are going to be even less credible when this is all over. Seems they become less relevant everyday. Yes but as has been pointed out it is actually a term of endearment. I doubt it hurt her testimony much, racism by non-whites does not really garner much emotional response from whites let alone anyone else.

I was more taken aback that she could not read a letter she helped write "because it was in cursive" - probably in the end what turned the jury off the most was the disrespectful tone "no sir! yes sir!". well.. that and the lack of anything relevant that actually came from her testimony.

THATs why I carry a gun. I carry a .45 because there is no .46 (actually there is now, but it is too big to conceal handily, I still like the obsolete phrase though) You and Patriot, now that your guy is being shown to be the vermin he is, can deflect all you want. This is not about soccer, a punch, MMA or anything else. GZ was legally armed under laws of the state and used deadly force in compliance with the laws of the state. The rest is BS. You don't have to like it.

1. GZ claims he "forgot" he had a firearm on him that night, this seems odd considering he supposedly was punched first. Where is the survival instinct of an armed man? Its BS. I carry a firearm occasionally, I've never thought wow, I forgot about this concealed weapon on my waist.

2. In GZ's story, TM straddled him and was covering GZ mouth with both hands, then TM slid his hands down GZ's shirt to grab the weapon, yet GZ got there first.

a. No blood smear on the shirt of GZ

b. GZ had a free hand but didn't use it to defend himself? He's training in MMA and he can't wrestle at all? Not even use a free hand?

c. No GZ DNA on the hands or fingernails of TM. All that blood on GZ's head and face and no DNA on any hands or nails? How?

3. Nobody knows if TM threw the first punch or if GZ tried to detain him. This is all based on GZ's statement.

4. Wounds are not conclusive with life threatening injury. GZ could have fell backwards and hit his head while trying to grab TM and then been punched on the ground, nobody was there to know how they were made and when or who started the fight? Anyone who's ever bumped their head knows it swells and cuts easily. Small wounds bleed profusely. It looked worse than it was. Watch boxing a small head wound dumps volumes of blood.

5. The altercation started at the T in the dog walk. How did they get all the way down 2 houses without advancing on foot? None of that is explained by GZ's statement.

6. GZ was instructed not to follow, yet he went looking anyway. His actions gave the appearance to anyone thinking they were "already being followed" that they were being stalked or pursued. Wrong or right you stated yourself when you feel threatened, fight like an animal...your own words. But TM can't claim that right correct, because he's a thug?

7. TM broke no laws yet was suspected of being suspicious? Without GZ being involved in TM's life that night, TM delivers skittles and plays video games that evening and is alive today. Yet he's depicted as a criminal? Makes no sense.

The closing arguments will surely cover this and a lot more holes in the story. This is more than enough to sway a Manslaughter charge, because like it of not, TM is dead and GZ's already admitted to shooting him. Homicide carry's a penalty depending on the degree.
