I think GZ needs to sue the State big time. He has been railroaded in the name of political correctness. No way any competent person would have charged him without political pressure. every thing the prosecution has presented has helped the defense. I can't imagine when the defense starts.

I wonder if the prosecutor knows what a shame it is giving the justice department the finger .

It seems that each moment that goes by now makes it less likely there would be any "follow on" Federal prosecution. For what? Seriously, I think this is just a public show of "why we did not initially prosecute"

What are the predictions of what will happen when the case is dismissed? RG and Val Erie will celebrate justice being served, I am sure, but what about others? What do people think will happen when the case is dismissed/acquitted?

I don't know. I think the feds may take up a civil rights case on this just because of the publicity it has received. Remember Rodney King.

Of course I remember that Rodney King was worked over by LA Police Officers who gang-banged him with tasers. How is that relevent to this? What is going to come out of this is that TM attacked GZ and that was a very bad decision. The Feds are going to be hands off, but they will make noise like they will do something. Gurgling and babbling

I originally thought GZ would get some form of manslaughter, simply because he appeared to be the agressor. I'd be surprised to see that now.

Irresponsible VJ members. All of them.

Lets take into account the following;

1. The title of the thread was not correct per the previous days format.

2. The thread had no link to the trial.

3. The thread was started prematurely by an over anxious VJ member. Ahem...

4. And lastly and most importantly, many were probably scared off by exactly "who" started the thread...i.e. Nature Boy.

Although known as the most level headed, unbiased and fair member on VJ, he has on occasion strayed from that designation.

First time I've watched any of the trial. Defense actually got the EMT to say that GZ's injuries could have caused a concussion or brain damage. That certainly helps the self-defense argument.

The fed could file charges saying that GZ killed TM because of his race. Civil rights charges. Probably wouldn't be found guilty. There is no such thing as double jeopardy when you are charged for the same offense separately by the state and feds for the same act. They just label it something different. Seen it happen 100s of times with drug charges.

As far as what happens if/when GZ is acquitted, hopefully we can go back to talking about windmills and solar power around here. The only affect this trial has had on my life is what is posted in P&R. Maybe it has affected my ability to turn on the TV and get some actual news about important things going on in the world as well. Other than that, I really don't care all that much how it turns out. My opinion is that TM is simply a thug and picked the wrong guy to #### with, and he got killed over it. There's a lesson to be learned there. If you go stomping someones a$$ because you think they are "following" you, there's a possibility you could end up dead for it. That's really the bottom line.

All this has nothing to do with race. That's just a side show.
