Keeping GZ in custody a moment longer should cause the state to be charged with kidnapping. The state should dismiss the case with predjudice (for the fucktards, that is not a racial statement, it is a legal term meaning he cannot be charged again)

After watching this for a few minutes I am as done with this subject as I was with the gun control nonsense. There will be no conviction of GZ. Can we move on now? I am.

I am guessing that the defense's first move is going to be to ask for a dismissal or directed verdict.

This is 2012/2013 Florida, not 1962 Mississippi. White people do not go around murdering black teenagers in Florida and not being charged...are you serious?

Everything testified today was known before charges were filed. All these people had been interviewed, the guy that testified today that TM was on top doing the "ground and pound" said so before GZ was arrested, said so in depositions, both sides had the depositions. The state had decided NOT to charge GZ because there was no possibility of conviction...NOT because white guys can get away with killing black teenagers in sanford FL. Nothing today was a revelation to anyone except us fools.

Along come the paid racists, assisted by people that wish to strip us of rights to defend ourselves and have firearms and demand a prosecution. So the state goes whole hog and charges him with 2nd degree murder (YEAH BABY!!!!) And now they put on the puppet show so everyone can SEE that GZ was innocent, was attacked by a thug and defended himself, eradicating some pestilence in the process. The state is going to "do their best" and then they are going to lose and GZ will walk out a free man...as he should. Some racists are not going to be satisfied with that.

I don't know. When some uses the phrase "release from custody" that usually implies they are "in custody" in the first place. I bet if you asked GZ to compare sleeping in his bed every night to being locked up and sharing a shower and toilet with 12 other dudes, my guess would be that he would say he is not in custody. And here I always thought that paying a bond meant that you were released form custody with a promise to appear in court. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

ETA: Now while out on bond you are still considered under the supervision of the court, but I don't consider that being "in custody."
