Wait a Mo - TM was doing MMA-style fights fur realz for months, prior to GZ walking up on him.

I'm a thinking this was the first 'MMA-style' realz fight GZ every tried, with a human who wasn't holding back and SHAZAAM - no safety gear...

I don't see this ending with a unanimous decision of guilty. Hung jury. Both parties contributed to the incident. We don't know who threw the first punch. And I'll be willing that the confrontation didn't end the way either party planned. One man is dead, the others life is changed forever regardless of the verdict. Taking someone's life up close and personal isn't quite as glamorous and easy to forget as some think.

Manslaughter. Trevor Dooley had a better self-defense case than George Zimmermann could dream of. Trevor Dooley was found guilty of manslaughter. I do not see George Zimmermann walking away from this. He will get to enjoy the hospitality of the Great State of Florida.

I agree about Dooley, but this case is very racially charged. If he walks, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

If they do find him not guilty I hope the parents make a statement agreeing that it was a fair trial...because no matter what, he was tried fairly.

It could go either way...all the gray areas are crucial.

Bottom line, someone is dead and the other had a trial.

GZ overestimated MMA training verses the reality of blunt force trauma. Same thing happens to black belts when the opponent doesn't pull that first punch. Pain has a way of screwing up that invincible idea.

I think if he's not training he keeps his @ss in the car.

There’s an MMA-flavored fitness regimen that involves bagwork and calisthenics.. Not getting ready for the ring,... Could be that gym was better in the terms of logistics. As in cost, distance from home. If George was out of shape he could be on the tread mill for a few hours before anything else starts.

Yes, but as I wrote before, it's a catch 22. If he walks and there's outrage and riots, it will feed into the stereotype that we are uncivilized animals and TM had it coming since it was inevitable for him to become violent and GZ was justified for killing him. If he walks and we show restraint, then it sends the message that killing a black person has little to no consequence and you will have a lot more Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis killings in the future.

If TM had been training MMA, even the fitness regime, I doubt they would have even bothered to press charges.

They would have said "see, he was just too dangerous and had to be shot". It's all in who the evidence is put on.

That's all very telling since he actually did become a judge on Feb 26 2012.

I have read that an undercover police officer tried to arrest a friend of his and George put his hand on the police officers arm. Thus he was charged with assault. As a divorce lawyer you must understand how easy it is for a pissed off woman to file charges against the man.

A twitter message, allegedly sent by Trayvon’s older brother, suggests Trayvon was suspended for assaulting a bus driver.. What was offered up in court today suggests that this can be made public. School records can be opened ...(.perhaps). Shows travon had a history of pounding down people.
