Affidavit? The i134 is only required at the time of the interview not before. Can you explain us a detail list of the things they request you and what did you send? It's really important to know so you dont make the same mistake twice.

is there any possibility for re-applying?

Yes. First you need to find out why you were denied. As others stated, most likely because your response to the RFE was not sufficient.

What was the RFE and what did you send in reply? It would be a waste of money to reapply until you address WHY you were denied.

So sorry to hear about this, sister. Is there any red flag between you and your fiance?

Hope something good will happen about your case soon. God bless you. :)

Not a problem. To better assist you, please type here word for word the body of the RFE letter you got, the date of this RFE letter, list exactly what you sent in response (be as specific as you can), and the date you sent it in.

is there any possibility for re-applying?

Absolutely !

If yer still within the 2-year-meetup rule,

you could file a new I-129F today.

Tell Mike to get on here and read the guides before he re-files your petition.

That's a great starting point.

Add in the instructions for the I-129F, and a long read in the RFE review thread, and a hard look at red flags and how to write letters of attestation (submitted with the I-129F) to overcome red flags, and I think Mike be ready to try the filing a 2nd time.

When he goes to re-apply make sure he goes over the documents several times, and not just once. Go through them one day, let it sit and go back another day and reaffirm you have everything that they need and in order. Make a checklist and make duplicates. Maybe he can scan every page and the order he is sending them. I loaded mine to dropbox so my fiancee could go over them as well. It sounds like to me that he missed a few of the essential documents, but as others say the affidavit of support document shouldn't be needed until the interview. As for the intent to marry make sure you both have one, and they are signed. No copies of it, he should have the original copy that you signed.

If you 2 are able to meet again before he reapplies I would have him print out all the documents and bring them with him. 2 sets, one for you and one for him. Sign it all there and bam you have a copy already smile.png

Good luck and may you have a speedy approval in your second chance.

In my experience on VJ most denials at this stage is due to inadequate application information so please don't give up. Just make sure you and your fiance send every item required for the application on your next try. I know you have already seen this link but I will repost it anyway.

We were denied also, once you get your denial letter you should be able to appeal. Which is what we did and we were then approved. So you shouldn't have to start over you should just be able to appeal and pay the fee required.
