My financee in japan has a 10yr daughter. I read japan law about custody in which only one parent has custody. What I cant find is - what are the laws about taking her daughter out of Japan. Here in the US I have full custody of my daughter so I can move or leave the country without the Mothers permission. What laws does Japan have in place for Japanese children moving to the USA. Im afraid the father will not give permission for the child to leave even know he isnt in the childs life( im afraid because the mother said he would say "no". Help Please

(personal email edited out) for any direct answer or suggestion thanks again jeff
