I'm trying to see if a case number has been assigned since mail here is so unreliable. Package with i-130 for hubby delivered to Juarez two weeks ago. I called the number on this page https://usvisa-info.com/en-MX/selfservice/us_service_options which was mentioned in an earlier thread and they tell me to call the NVC. I call the NVC and they tell me that since I did DCF they won't ever have a case number for me. How can find out?? Should I try calling USCIS in Juarez directly?

Since you did DCF, I don't think you will be assigned a case number until your I-130 is approved. Yes, you should call or email the embassy you filed it at. NVC has nothing to do with your case since you filed DCF.

Thanks! I was able to get through to USCIS in Juarez and they have all the documents from me they need, just pending some security checks she said. She did take my email address to advise via email once those are complete. Crossing fingers security checks are done quickly so we can get an interview scheduled.

You will receive a letter from CDJ when they have processed everything and are ready for you to schedule your appointment. The letter will have a case number on it.
