The only people at home at the time was a 12 year old. Do you think he wanted to bring the situation and involve the younger kid? It seems like if TM just did everything perfectly in that brief moment it would prevent GZ from catching him.

What about not following TM at all...why is that TM's fault?

It seems that GZ has no responsibility here and its all on TM...a 17 year old that was being pursued. That's crazy.

GZ is toast, the DOC needs to start the paperwork.

The safest place for anyone is in your own home and call the police with the door locked. Bring what situation that someone was watching him. Travion wanted to play big man in front of this woman. George was not running him down only a few feet behind travon.... That has not been established.at all. Travon went LOOKING for george.....from the point he could have retreated to his home. This will be in the jurors mind for certain. ..Travon could have retreated to his home and did not.

Really. Someone runs you down and you wouldn't feel threatened?

That's unreasonable in my opinion. If a person chases you and you're caught how is this resolved...wait for the attack first and then decide its a threat?

Why would anybody be afraid if a white guy is chasing them? It doesn't make any sense. Obviously the black guy must be doing something wrong.

You agree GZ was hit first? That means TM was close enough to hit him right? How at that point was he supposed to be locked in his home?

He was caught when he had thought that he had lost GZ. Now you want him to have been behind a locked door?

So in this scenario you agree that GZ was pursuing TM and that he should have felt even "more fear" of imminent danger, but not enough to punch GZ, if that's what even happened? Oh please...

It's all TM's fault, if he would have only done everything perfect to protect himself from a stranger chasing him GZ wouldn't have had to kill him...for absolutely nothing but GZ's own personal issues.

Someone following me purposefully is a threat and a provocation. Doesn't matter why he is following me. He obviously wasn't following him to become his friend.

I agree. But if someone is following you and is carrying a gun, but you don't know it, then the gun is not an issue. Too many people keep saying "If I was being followed by someone with a gun" as if TM knew GZ was armed. The gun did not play into TM's rationale because he didn't know about it.

While running he should have called 911? I think he was busy running and Dee Dee called him back so that kind of keeps him from dialing.

Plus he thought he lost him...so he should have called upon losing him?

I don't think teenagers call the police because of a threat, they just run. It's not a reasonable assumption.

And if he just ran, then he'd still be alive today. As you acknowledge, he lost him. GZ and you both agree that he didn't know where TM was. Why not keep running home? He'd be safe and alive.

All I expect out of TM is to not assault someone. I don't claim to know who threw the first punch, but if it was TM, then that is the reason he's dead. How about this, don't attack someone and you won't end up dead.
