Maybe they can lynch him if they can actually find an actual prosecution witness. Even the dam PA testified yeah the injuries weren't bad then followed up with well they could have been had the attack not been stopped

They don't have to prove he WAS ACTUALLY in danger anyway for him to walk. They just have to prove that he BELIEVED he was and what jury member wouldn't conclude that if you had a guy on top of you on the sidewalk swinging at you and you were calling for help you would not believe you were in danger?

I don't even think they have to do that. If there are two opposing scenarios that are equally plausible, then the jury has to go with the one that points to not guilty. The defense merely has to show that GZs account of what happened is just as possible as what the state is saying, and so far without the defense even starting their case, I've seen nothing yet that rules out option B as a possibility...Granted the prosecution hasn't rested yet. They said this is a slam dunk so I guess we just need to wait for it.

I keep going back to the Casey Anthony case (same state). The defense put up a pretty wild alternate scenario in my opinion with their explanation of the duct tape, and the jury accepted it. No matter what you think happened between GZ and TM, you can't say that what he is saying couldn't have happened...based on what we've seen so far anyhoo.

and so far the majority of evidence supports GZ story, and most of the prosecution assertions have more holes in them than swiss cheese.

1. The star witness who tipped the scales in the decision to prosecute was pretty much an embarrassment, openly racist and caught in many many miss representations and down right lies

2. A witness testified he he saw TM on top of GZ pummeling him MMA style and that he thinks it was GZ calling for help.

3. The P.A. just testified GZ had many head injuries and his nose was consistant with having it bashed in. Also testified if the fight had not stopped the injuries could have killed him.

4. A neighbor testified GZ was a level headed guy and did not think he would be prone to be a vigilante.

Zimmermann testified to police that he got off Martin only after he ceased moving. That would indicate that Martin would at least have lost consciousness by the time Zimmermann got off of him. How does he move his hands under his body after that? Still a mighty neat trick.

Missed this yesterday, don't have any idea how I found it today, but since im here. do you really believe that ceasing to move equals lost consciousness.

You created this boondoggle by starting the thread early and not following naming convention protocol. Nobody thinks your day 5 is the official thread!

Have you seen the butterfly effect? See how it starts? Geez...

As I said I don't know how I got on this thread- I wasn't trying to look at yesterday. I came on to say something nice about Trayvons stepmom and ended up in the middle of this thread. I can only guess that there is some defect with today"s thread
