AP: Who's working on it?

I submitted my wife's AOS package in late October to the Chicago lockbox. Got the NOA a few days later then nothing else for the last 24 odd days. In addition to the I485 we submitted an I765 and I131.

I'm just curious... who's working on it. Where will it be worked on and hopefully approved if we sent it to Chicago and live in Charlotte, NC.

AOS:

October 17, 2006 I-130/485/131/765 filed

December 22, 2006 Biometrics: Thanks Charlotte office for the same-day service!

December 30, 2006 Second Biometrics appt rcd:

January 06, 2007 AP is approved!

January 10, 2007 EAD is approved

February 13, 2007 AOS Interview: Appoved with passport stamping!

February 26, 2007 Greencard received!

Removal of Conditions:

February 12, 2009 I-751 Received.

March 17, 2009 Biometrics.

July 8, 2009 Card production ordered!

Answered my own question. In my infinite wisdom after a month I realized MSC on my receipt = Missouri Service Center. Now why is it I can't find processing times for MSC on USCIS.gov?

MSC processing times are listed as under the "National Benefits Center".

I wish USCIS would pick a bloody name and stick to it, its annoying that their new online case status text has started talking about the MSC all of a sudden.

By the way, what's the deal with the travel advisory they published earlier this fall saying if you want to travel over the holidays (religious holidays in December were cited), to absolutely have your documents sent in by the end of October. Given the current processing times, isn't that a little bit or quite a bit misleading?

Indeed. Its unlikely that if you submit AP at the end of October, that you'll get it for Xmas.
